Country Club of Miami - West
About
The Country Club of Miami, located near residential areas, boasts two courses, the East Course and the West Course. Both golf courses at the club have seen many famous players including Jackie Gleason, Bob Hope, and Jack Nicklaus. The West Course features rolling greens as well as many strategically placed bunkers. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The course is very well maintained and provides a good game for players of any skill level. Conveniently, the golf club has a large pitting, putting, and chipping area where golfers can work on their short game and there is also a grass driving range.

Nice course in good shape. Greens were fast and true. I will play it again next week.
loved it
classic ok’d course. we’ll organized ; great staff. course in very good shape. great value thanks
Foursome ahead of us were extremely slow
This course should have a ranger
Decent course and fun to play
I’m not sure everyone was so upset about this course on the reviews. The greens were better than some in the area. There were some brown spots but nothin in the field of play. The food was better than most. It’s not pebble beach, but it definitely is worth playing
Really bad conditions
Honestly even the price isn’t worth it. You’ll get angry at your game and it’s mostly the course. The greens were like roughs. So you can imagine everything else. Don’t wanna take too much time just saying don’t go or you were warned.
Do not play west
The west course should not be open to the public. The greens are not in playable conditions. Major repair is needed.
Bad shape
Greens are in god awful shape. Course is challenging but frustrating to putt. Hole 15 green is an absolute joke, pick up and call it a two putt once you reach.
Not in good shape
Unfortunately this course is in very bad shape, specially the greens
It's not worth 50$
Embarrassing
Worst course ever! worst greens I have ever played on. 80 % holes, dead areas etc. don't they have a greens keeper? Well he should get fired on the spot. The minimum a course should take of is the greens. I can't believe they charge 31 dollars! It should be free!!!!! There is no excuse for such a embarrassment. there is no pride in that place.
Poor conditions
I played this course because the pros had played here years ago. Too many years ago obviously. The greens were the slowest I’ve ever been on . Usually a Municipal course has money to keep it in good shape because of tax dollars to spend. The greens keeper should have his pay cut.. What a waste of money. It was like putting on a fairway. Too bad because the layout was pretty nice. Don’t waste your money on this place
Not Many Choices in Dade County
Public courses in Miami hard to find. Either expensive or poor quality. This one falls under poor quality but still charged $50 on a Saturday after 11:00. Greens were decent except for 2 that were unplayable (had to play automatic 2 putt on these they were so bad). Fairways a combination of pressed weeds and a little grass. Very thin and hard to get under the ball. Rough was inconsistent and a combination of weeds and gnarly grass. Driving range closed so no warm up except for a very small putting green that is almost impossible to chip around.
Closed for month - no improvement - damaged Greens
Most greens are damaged. Evident hurricane damages. Greens are in trouble. Only the west got infected, if you can believe it.
Layout re-routed, front and back nine switched, but the proshop and starter neglect to advise.
Walking allowed out of peek hours.
Nothing to write home about.
I have played this course a few times now over this past year, and over all it is an all right course. The fairways are a bit over grown everytime i play and the greens look like they go neglected for a few days a week. The layout of the course does present its challenges, but by far the most challenging part of this course are the neighborhood kids around this golf course. Oe more then one occasion there are birthday parties in the backyards of these houses backed up to the tee boxes with loud distracting music or kids running out on the course in the middle of a hole. So while this course is pretty fair for the price of golfnow.com I wouldnt recommend this to become a staple of a golf routine nor would I recommned anyone travels very far to play this course.
Godd course but....
I liked the layout of the course and it was challenging enough. What I didn't like was the condition of the greens. There were a lot of bare and deseased spots on each green which had a direct affect on the roll of the puts. The fairways were in decent shape especially after the 4 inches of rain the day before.
I think if they would lower the price by $10 - $20 during the summer months it would be worth playing again.
