While every golf trip you take is good for the soul, none are as critical to your sanity as a winter getaway.
Chances are your clubs - if you live in a cold-weather climate - have been buried in the garage behind the snow blower for at least a couple of months. You've been daydreaming of the moment when you can actually step onto a tee in glorious sunshine. Any day 65 degrees or warmer feels like a heat wave.
Winter golf can deliver the most rewarding rounds, even if you're not likely to play your best. You're just happy to be swinging again.
If you're looking for a golf escape this winter, we've found some great options for you. We've partnered with Vrbo to highlight some really cool rental homes and condos in five of the sunniest golf destinations across the United States. Simply click on the links we have provided to learn more key details about each Vrbo rental. Here we go:

Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona

For a single foursome, this two-bedroom, one-bath home is just a 10-minute drive from Arizona Grand Golf Club. A three-hole putting green resides out back.

Palm Springs, California
With over 100 bunkers, Desert Willow's Firecliff course is a true test of skill and one of the best courses you can play in California. Courtesy of 'jubooz15' The best guaranteed winter weather for golf might just be found in "Palm Springs," a generic term people use for the seven cities of California's Coachella Valley two hours from L.A. This snowbird mecca delivers the same posh lifestyle of SoCal without the ocean. The best part for golfers is several cities have built their own municipal golf courses, so there's plenty of public golf available at places like the 36-hole Indian Wells Golf Resort, the 36-hole Desert Willow Golf Resort and SilverRock. Mix in high-end resort golf like PGA West for the perfect golf adventure.
This two-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow is situated in Los Pueblos, a small, intimate community with 83 units, three swimming pools, four spas, tennis courts and three ponds. It's located close to some of the valley's most affordable public golf at the 36-hole Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort and Cathedral Canyon Golf Club.
This two-story townhome features two bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths within the private Palm Valley Country Club. Although Palm Valley's courses are unavailable, tee times at the 36-hole Desert Willow and 36-hole Desert Springs are super close. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom golf home is also minutes from Desert Springs.

Palm Beaches, Florida
A view of hole #17 at Champion Course from PGA National Resort & Spa. PGA National Resort & Spa The Palm Beaches are to Florida what the Hamptons are to New York. They are both oceanfront playgrounds with golf, restaurants, beaches and the water as entertainment.
Either of these two-bedroom, two-bathroom homes - here and here - in West Palm Beach are within a three-minute drive of PGA National, home to multiple courses, including the Champion course that hosts the PGA Tour. Both offer access to a community pool.
Closer to the Palm Beach Airport, this three-bedroom, three-bathroom home that sleeps two foursomes delivers the backyard playground every golfer dreams of with a pool, putting green, fire pit, outdoor dining area, BBQ and room for morning yoga or family games like cornhole.

Maui, Hawaii
The par-4 first on the Emerald Course at Wailea Golf Club plays downhill toward the ocean. Brandon Tucker/GolfPass Sugary sandy beaches. Swaying palm trees. Umbrella drinks. Tiki torches. Who doesn't close their eyes when it's 20 degrees outside and see such a vision of paradise? Maui is on every golfer's mind come January thanks to The Sentry, the opening tournament for every new PGA Tour season. The view is even prettier in person, especially from a private, spacious Vrbo rental.
This renovated 2,300 square-foot, three-bedroom residence is located in the Kapalua Golf Villa community just minutes from Kapalua's Plantation or Bay courses. Farther south in the sunniest side of the island, Grand Champions 180 is an upstairs three-bedroom, two-bathroom condo that sleeps six guests, featuring both golf and ocean views in Wailea. The community's three courses - Wailea Gold, Emerald and Blue - are popular plays for locals and tourists alike.
Another option snuggled up to the Blue Course is the three-bedroom, two-bath Wailea Grand Champion, where guests can walk to the beach or Shops at Wailea.

Naples, Florida
Aerial view of the 4th fairway and green at Old Corkscrew Golf Club. Old Corkscrew Golf Club Naples is the true definition of a snowbird destination. For five months of the year, from December through April, this town in southwest Florida rocks and rolls with a population and traffic that bulges due to the influx of Canadians, East Coasters and Midwesterners. Getting tee times and dinner reservations can be a challenge, so book early and enjoy the spoils of such a popular getaway.
Since much of the golf in Naples is private, most Vrbo rentals are in gated communities without access to the course it overlooks. This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home is located inside the Country Club of Naples. The heated pool and spa and two bikes inside the garage are nice extras.
This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom brick home is only 700 square foot, but it's close to the public beach (1.5 miles) and shopping. Plus there's an outdoor hot tub, putting green and fire pit for outdoor entertainment.
Compare that intimate option to this 4-bedroom, nearly 2,000-square-foot home with a deck on the Cocohatchee waterway, which leads directly to the Gulf of Mexico. After golf, you can trade your clubs for fishing poles or relax in the backyard pool.
For public tee times, your best bets are the two courses at Lely Resort, Panther Run in Ave Maria, the Gold and Black courses at Tiburon and Old Corkscrew.
