Cobblestone Park Golf Club - Gold Course
About
Cobblestone Park Golf Club has 27 championship holes that stretch across more than 240 acres of rolling hills. The course has some of the highest points in Richland County, providing panoramic views on nearly every hole. Formerly known as the University Club, Cobblestone Park is home to the University of South Carolina's golf teams. The holes are divided into three nines, each with a unique character, though they are all defined by the rolling hills. The Gold nine is the shortest of the three but thanks to the elevation changes, you don't miss the length. There are strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens and tall oaks and pines line the fairways. In addition to the 27-hole course, Cobblestone Park G.C. also boasts one of the largest private practice facilities in the South, which includes a large driving range, pitching and putting greens, and a practice bunker.

Great course.
Enjoyed the layout and conditions. The new clubhouse will be the cherry on top of a beautiful facility.
Great Golf Experience
Course was in excellent shape and was challenging to play.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and appreciative that I chose to play there.
One of the best courses in the Columbia area.
Play if you get the opportunity
We enjoyed playing the course. Long day because of heavy rain the day before and were restricted to cart path only. This is really a must play if you cn get here.
What a great place to play!
What a great place to play! A beautiful course that is both challenging and extremly fun. Bunkers galore and pitching darts is a requirement, however the course is forgiving and a rewarder of smart play/course management. I've have paid twice as much for 1/3 of the quality of this facility.
Nice course
Liked the roll of the greens and can't wait for the new club house to b built
Greens were fun and challenging!
Greens were fun and challenging! Not the fastest but really good speed for the amount of undulation in the greens.
Awesome Course and Challenging
Outstanding course. Great challenges. Well maintained and definitely and up and coming course.
Great layout
Have played this course several times and I always enjoy it. Played Garnet to Black. Only negative, as with most courses in the Columbia area this time of year, is no over-seeding.
Exciting course very picturesque
The bargain booking with golfnow.com was very easy, made a few hours before play. I confirmed booking with friendly professional named Tony.
Clubs were carried from car to cart.
Had excellent fast 9 holes on one of the three courses.
Greens were best in area.
Many thanks.
Cobblestone Great course
Went to play at Cobblestone today with buddy from up north, what a excellent course. We were greeted by a staff person who put bags on cart and made us feel very welcome, this was true for all staff we encountered. Course was in pristine shape very well maintained and greens were some of the best I have played all year. The price and drive time were well worth it. I will be coming back to play more often.
27 holes provides variety
Challenging greens make you keep the ball under the pins in order to score. Traps are filled with flour like sand making recovery difficult.
Challenging layout with firm fast greens that roll true.
Even though the course kicked my butt, I still enjoyed playing it. More three putts than I care to admit due to firm fast greens some with significant contours to deal with. Fairways were in good shape and even though its fall they kept the leaves to a minimum.
Beautiful fairways and excellent greens!
Our foursome was varied in skill level and experience and yet we all had a fantastic time. The course was expertly maintained and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to playing again.
Wow! Loved it!
Great course conditions. Quite a challenge with serious elevation changes, along with many doglegs and lightning speed greens. All that said, I greatly enjoyed it and will be back!
Best on this golf trip.
Visited Columbia for a week of golf, this was the best course played, and comparable to great courses anywhere. Very scenic, excellent condition, tough but fair. Greens were great, medium fast, readable, puttable, and they held approached well.
Played all three nines, no disappointments. Even though more expensive than others played in the area, well worth it. Liked it so much we played it twice this trip, rarely do we do that.
Great Course
The fairways were pristine and the greens were the BEST I've ever played... anywhere. Fast and accurate. It took me a few holes to get used to them... the slightest touch sent the ball sailing so speed -vs- accuracy was the most challenging part of putting. Well worth the trip!
Course in great shape.
Course was in great shape. a real enjoyment to play. Even though the course had a tournament going on, we were still allowed to play. With 27 holes available it wasn't a problem. Greens rolled quick but true. Started to overseed their tee boxes, so they were a little plush. All in all a have to play course.
This is one of the best courses in the Columbia area!
Will play this course every opportunity that comes around!
great value
Pristine course for $40. Greens were immaculate, fairways well groomed, and staff extremely helpful/friendly.
Definitely worth playing again.
Course was in great shape and the elevation changes really challenge you on club selection.
