About
Set across 300 acres of lush Carolina Lowcountry, Hilton Head National Golf Club has earned its reputation as one of the region’s premier public courses.
A unique collaboration between golf legends Gary Player and Bobby Weed, the course offers two distinct nines that complement each other beautifully. Weed designed the front nine with larger, more dramatically contoured greens to contrast and balance Player’s strategically crafted back nine.
Among the most memorable holes is the challenging par-4 sixth — bordered along its entire right side by the course’s largest lake and protected by deep pot bunkers near the green. The back nine features several standout holes, including the long and demanding 16th, which ranks as the No. 1 handicap hole for women and No. 5 for men. And finishing strong, the par-4 eighteenth tests precision with a deep marsh running the length of the narrow fairway.
Together, these elements create a course that’s scenic, strategic, and rewarding for players of all skill levels.

Course is top condition. Greens links-style greens that all rolled true. Will definitely be back.
Always a favorite
We never miss an opportunity to play this beautiful course. It is always in great condition. This course offers a challenge to those wishing to challenge themselves by playing the back tees, or offering friendly forward tees for others. Excellent value and very friendly course.

Cold day but great course conditions
Greens were in great shape as was course overall. Cold (59 degrees with rain threat) but the 2 of us played 18 holes in 3+ hours since we were able to tee off when we were ready upon arrival. Wish rate was always available at $45-50 during off season.

One of my favourite courses at Hilton Head. It is well laid out and always in great condition. The Golf Now rate makes it a worthwhile value. It was wet and rained on and off but that did not deter the enjoyment. The pro Staff and clubhouse was very friendly and the starter got us off early. I would recommend to any golfer and will play again when I return.

Great value; Great layout; Serene & Secluded
I played for the first time on a Hot Deal in the afternoon. I like the layout, it was fair but it provided a test. The greens were a bit fuzzy due to the time of day but still good speed and would hold good shots. Good conditions in the fairway and rough.
I liked the serene nature of the course - no houses and only occasional road noise. Saw plenty of wild life on the course including Turkeys!
Due to the late Hot Deal tee time and being behind two groups who played slow we finished as it was getting towards dusk and pace of play was not ideal. Nobody in front of those two groups with people behind me - a marshall would have been welcome to keep them moving.

Good test--great condition
I've played the course several times and it always seems to be in good playing condition. Generous fairways, no tricked up holes and greens that will make you pay attention to slope and grain--good, fair test at a reasonable price.

Good Track
HHN has to be one of the best courses in the area. We have been playing it each year we come to Hilton Head, always in great condition. Highly recommend to play this course if you have the opportunity.

Always a must play
I Always enjoy playing this great course. The whole staff is welcoming and friendly.
A fun challenging course with nice layout. All you see is a wonderful golf course . Nice to have a cart girl still on the course late in the day. You will enjoy your round at this must play course.

Good course. Good layout and greens were great. Pace of play was a little slower than expected but not horrible. Would play again.
easy front , tough back
Loved the facility. Nice course. Front side was less challenging that the back.

This course is well maintained. Great course to play and the elevated greens are quite some challenge.
Best greens on the island
The greens were fast and true. Although they were very firm they would hold amazingly well. We had a twosome and played in just over 3 hours. Great day
