About
Set across 300 acres of lush Carolina Lowcountry, Hilton Head National Golf Club has earned its reputation as one of the region’s premier public courses.
A unique collaboration between golf legends Gary Player and Bobby Weed, the course offers two distinct nines that complement each other beautifully. Weed designed the front nine with larger, more dramatically contoured greens to contrast and balance Player’s strategically crafted back nine.
Among the most memorable holes is the challenging par-4 sixth — bordered along its entire right side by the course’s largest lake and protected by deep pot bunkers near the green. The back nine features several standout holes, including the long and demanding 16th, which ranks as the No. 1 handicap hole for women and No. 5 for men. And finishing strong, the par-4 eighteenth tests precision with a deep marsh running the length of the narrow fairway.
Together, these elements create a course that’s scenic, strategic, and rewarding for players of all skill levels.

Great track
Had a great time. Course in great shape. Greens fast and true. Play this course often and it is always in impeccable shape.
Good value for money

Amazing condition!
HH National is always in great condition, but on this round it was spectacular.
The greens were smooth as glass and tricky to read.
Fairways were carpet.
Didn't spend much time in the rough, but the traps looked like fresh quartz sand. My only bunker shot saved par.

Course needs work. Miserable staff
I have played here many times and was surprised and disappointed in the condition of the course. It badly needed watering. Tee boxes were horrible and fairways spotty. I usually love this course but not today.
As usual the pro shop staff showed its disdain for GOLF NOW patrons.

Well maintained Course
A warm and sunny day with a light breeze made for a good outing. Course condition excellent. Fairways and greens in very good shape. Carts in very good shape with GPS over heqd course map with distance to the green. Course layout was friendly to my average golf game with few water holes and long straight aways and a reasonable amount of traps. Very good value for the price. Would not hesitate to play it again.

Best off Island Course
And compares favorably to most of the ones on the Island. Course was in the best condition of the 10 I have played in the past month, nice layout and fair. Great day - little over 2 1/2 Hours to play. Staff was friendly, range was in good shape and tee boxes, fairways and greens were very good. Will be back.

Great greens
We usually come to Hilton Head about this time every year. But we haven't played this course in years.The course conditions were .better than most of the courses we played so far, particularly the greens.
