Grand Canyon University Golf Course

This was always one of my favorite courses but this time the course conditions were lacking. Greens were bumpy and thin. They are no longer the deep green they used to be. The fairways were ok but getting off the fairways meant very thin lies.

Where’s the grass? Very poor grass conditions on fairways and on the greens. Sand in traps was maybe 1inch deep and below that like concrete. Not at all like the conditions I used to experience there.

Course layout and design is very cool and beautiful to get a full 18 holes with distance and practice facilities into that small of an area is impressive. The greens were very shaggy and over grown (they have to let the grass grow out in between the college golf tournaments they host so when they host, the course is ideal). Not a problem and adapted easily to the greens during the round. The group of 4 college kids (not on the golf team) were playing like it was Master's Sunday and they were on the greens for 15-20 minutes every hole. There needs to be a course marshal out there keeping pace of play. 4 hours was way way way to long to play this round.

We liked the course. T boxes and fairways is good shape. Hard to stay out of the bunkers! Good sand practice but sand was a bit compact and hard.

Fun and easy going. Course was in average shape but clubhouse was closed when we finished.

Waited on every hole except the last three. Round was just over 4 1/2 hours. Fairways and greens were good but bunkers were hard and rocky. Fair for the money but I would rather pay a little more and have a better experience. Staff was extremely nice

Challenging and friendly. Great atmosphere. Well maintained. People / staff were great.

All was ok. Course was average but lots of roll on the ball.
