Solid course
We enjoyed our round earlier this week. Great weather made it a near perfect day. The course is in very good condition. It has a challenging layout but is fair.
Good starter.
We Picked this course as a starter to our golf trip. $53 hot deal. That's a good price for that. The course was in decent condition. Wide open and not many trees. A lot of 💧 to tangle with. Only complaint. The greens haven't completely healed from its last punching or arefication. But not bad. Just tiny (tiny) mounds of dirt where it was punched. We were happy. Im not sure I'd be happy at $80 perround. We're Man O War today. We're looking forward to it 😀.
Will play again
Loved the lay out , we had great conditions , pace of play was good and just a couple of greens needed some help.
Good layout, but a bit over priced
Course was quiet because of the approaching storm in the afternoon. Greens were ok, still recovering from being punched. Fairly challenging layout which could be punishing if you are spraying your driver. I just think the green fee should be $20-30 cheaper. I would play again.
Meh.
Course needs some TLC but has good bones, looked like it was in its prime 20yrs ago. Didn't use the range but it looked like Baghdad after the coalition forces rolled through. Greens were plugged/aerated very recently and putting a straight line was impossible. The sister course next door; Man o war, is a much more fun layout. If you get this cheap or a round for bad weather it’s ok. Not worth it if you’re in town for only a few days/week.
Nice course
Hole #6 green was in rough shape but the greens are coming back around after being punched. Fairways were phenomenal, we were the first tee time so pace was great. Although as we made the turn they started dumping people off on #10 so I could imaging pace changed after the turn. Overall very nice and would play again.
Just Ok for the time of year
Played in late July and was not aware they just aerated the greens. I understand it’s part of golf course maintenance but I would have chose to play elsewhere if noted online. The course wasn’t very tricky. Sometimes it was boring minus the water hazard holes. The pace of play was also slow and was noted to a ranger on the course. He stated there’s groups backed up all day and didn’t improve the situation. One plus was the free lunch and drinks from booking on GN.
Wide open
Great course for my son and I playing for first time in a few years. Course is wide open, not many blind shots. We had great time. Staff was great, lunch as usual part of fees worked perfectly. We even parred a few holes.
The Wizard
Wonderful from top to bottom. Staff Course, Food and Drink were Capitol. We will be back.
First time playing here and when we went to club house and the starter we asked if there is anything we need to know about the course . They replied no and sent us on our way . The tee boxes wore junk fairways Fair and then to our surprise when we get up to the first green the aerated the greens and the greens were filled with sand and I'm not just talking a lite coating I'm talking filled with sand it was like playing plinko. We are from the North East were we are use to some bad conditions but this is the worst I've personal play in a long time. Yes they charged us full price very disappointed.
