About
The Country Club of Hilton Head rambles over a variety of terrain, including rolling, open expanses, pine and oak woodlands and freshwater ponds and marshlands. Each hole is distinctive, as a golfer must negotiate water hazards, contoured fairways, pot bunkers and sculpted bunkers, and grass hollows.This facility features constant elevation tees, landing areas and greens, as well as the only punch bowl-shaped green in the area. The Country Club of Hilton Head layout also features 3 doglegs, undulating and tiered greens and two par-5's that stretch more than 575 yards in length. An excellent, fair test of golf for all skill levels.

Great golf experience
We’ve played here several times before.
Staff is always welcoming.
Course is well conditioned.
Highly recommend it.
HH Country club golf day
The course had a nice layout and was scenic, but the turf conditions were not yet ideal due to early spring---fairway grass thin and rough as well. Difficult around greens due to many traps on the approaches, requiring good short iron play. The starter was not very friendly. Pace of play was very slow---over 5 hrs for 18 holes and had to wait at almost evry tee. No ranger help apparent to move people along.
Early season play
My wife and I enjoyed the play. Paired up with two locals who knew the course. Helped quite a bit. Greens were in good shape and f a s t. Bare spot here and there in the fairways but acceptable.

Really liked the par 3’s. Water on all of them.
Course not overseeded fairways still a little thin on March 2.
Greens are in great shape
Nice course with very true greens for this time of year. Quick round under 4 hours. Wish price was a little lower in comparison to similar courses in area.

Played with neighbors who are members and had good time. A little slow play but got it in just at sunset. Traps are nice but sand was heavy wet from previous day's rains. Greens were supper as were fairways. People were very friendly.
AVERAGE
Nice course for the money. Forgiving and open for the average golfer. Elevated greens make for a good challenge. Amenities were average but staff was friendly.
Very fair
Great experience from start to finish, course was in great shape with just enough water & sand to make it iteresting. Very fair course with good pace of play, although I only had time for 9, But will be returning to play the full 18.
Mid handicappers beware
Unfair rough that grabs your ball just off the fairway to the point that it takes 10 minutes to find your ball. Many good shots resulted in a lost ball or a long look.
Great course, played in the afternoon,got a nice discount and had the whole course to ourselves. Had a great time except it was very, very hot that day. Drink lots of water. Stay out of the rough. The rough is a ball eater.
This is a classic old Hilton head course. The rough is the old-school Bermuda grass that is difficult to play out of. Pace of play was excellent. Generous fairways. A good course for a mid to high handicap player.
