Myrtle Beach National Golf Club - King's North Course
About
For years, the King's North Course at Myrtle Beach National has been the most requested and best recognized golf course on the Grand Strand. The par-3, third hole with its island green and South Carolina-shaped sandtraps has become the signature hole for Myrtle Beach. King's North features some dramatic and unique holes. The par-5 sixth hole is nicknamed "The Gambler" and features an unusual island fairway which offers golfers a risk-reward short-cut to the green for a chance at eagle. The 18th hole, nicknamed "The Bull's-eye" by Golf Magazine, is a sight to behold. More than 40 sandtraps guard either side of the fairway and the green reaches out into a lake offering, at times, a very tempting pin placement.

Overall Poor Experience
I visited last year and faced issues with getting a rain check after being forced to play in the rain, despite a major storm warning. The Marshall assured me it wouldn't be a problem, but the pro shop disagreed. When I called back with my reservation details, I was told that without one of their cards, they couldn't track my visit and wouldn't issue a rain check. Be aware that they provide no leeway on this
Excellent Day of Winter Golf
King's North at Myrtle Beach National is definitely worth the price. Excellent layout...you gotta have ALL the shots. Course was in great shape considering the calendar. I'll put this one on my list for my next trip to Myrtle.
Wanted to play for years and finally did
Absolutely beautiful course. I can’t bring myself to pay summer tee times but we had perfect weather in December and a great deal on the tee times. Course was everything I hoped it would be. Great course and a great time!
Front 9 Renovations “Superb”
Great course will be fantastic when back 9 completed in 2025.
Terrible course management
Pace of play was awful. 3 hours front nine. Their fault. Jammed too many groups out without timing them
Enjoyable course
MBN - Kings North is a nice track. Starter allowed us to get out earlier than our scheduled tee time which allowed us to shoot through in well under 4 hours - a pleasant surprise. Only criticism is exceptionally slow greens.
Poor green conditions
The course layout is great but the greens are uncut and which leaves them being very slow. So slow that it ruins the experience.
One of our Myrtle Beach favorites
We have been playing this course on our annual fall trip to MB for over a decade and always enjoy the layout and reliably good course conditions. The recent front 9 renovation has made it a little tougher. It's also a pretty course, with a lot of birdlife.
Myrtle Beach National
Great layout with some memorable holes. The greens on the front 9 were better than on the back. The course had some construction on going. Where new sod had been laid, a ball would often find a gap between segments that should have had ground under repair either marked or noted by the starter.
Nice course
Played the north Course had a good time, condition not as good as a few others we played but would play it again
Worth the play.
Course is a good track and in great shape. Heavy rain the night before made it cart path only for the morning rounds. Definately play it again. Don't miss the hot dog bar .
Nice course design
Played in early May. Beautiful weather, course conditions was just average, lots of dead grass and dirt spots.
Over priced under delivered
The staff and the amenities do not match the price.
Very busy slow pace
Decent course very busy slow pace of play Nice staff
My favourite in Myrtle Beach, and I played a lot of the courses
Everything was perfect
It’s rare to have that quality at that price
I felt the southern hospitality all day long
It’s now a must for my future trip to Myrtle Beach
Thank you t the team
