Man O' War Golf Course

First impression was incredibly poor as the pro shop staff was rude and not willing to help. We had a golf now reservation (where the money was due at the course) and they would not honor the reservation price... rather just kept repeating our rate is $59 plus tax. At this point we would not have been able to get on anywhere else so we sucked it up and paid the higher amount. The beverage cart attendant was friendly, but was nearly out of every single product by 10:30 AM and had to keep making separate trips to come back out. The only upside of our entire visit was the starter - who was very helpful and fun to talk with. We will definitely be avoiding Man O War for future visits.

Couldn’t have been happier with the round. Couple holes where the bugs/mosquitos were crazy but ultimately not the courses fault. Only two holes were like this. Course was in amazing condition and you can’t beat the greens.

We had an enjoyable experience on a very nice course! It was worth the extra money.

What an amazingly beautiful course. It was my first time playing this course. Imagine my surprise when I found out 16 of the 18 holes have water.. it’s well laid out and I only lost two balls to the water. Can’t wait to go back.

This course is a lot of fun - when your on the ground you don't see the water like the aerial images, so don't shy away from this course - highly recommend

Played Man o War on guys golf trip in the middle of July. Was the 3rd of our 5 course we played and in my opinion was the best course we played. We did play some of the "higher end" courses and I would say Man o war was in better shape then them. The course was cart path only due to the heavy rains the day before but was not overall wet or soggy. All the course conditions were close to perfect. Was surprised the bent grass greens to be in such good shape with the heat. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Our group is already planning trips in the future and will definitely be returning to Man o War

It's been 2 years since I've picked up a club to play golf. I came here from Pennsylvania and figured what better place to try to play golf again in Myrtle Beach. I found a good deal on this course and thought.. .why not?

Well I waited to see what I was getting myself into until I got here. I thought I really picked a doozie. All that water...i bought extra balls.

Well what's on the pics and what's reality are totally different. Yeah there's two island greens, but definitely not as daunting as pics would have you believe. I was actually a little disappointed. I had psyched myself for nothing. Very flat and fairly short course.

Now on the plus side.. .it's beautiful.

Lots of wildlife. Forgiving rough. Nice tee boxes and greens. Super friendly staff.

I guess if I'd never looked at pics, it'd been great. But if you're looking for some great water filled extravaganza....it's NOT

Cart path only and pretty soggy but in great shape otherwise.

Course got a couple of inches of rain in a 20 minute period. Very wet with standing water. Hope for drier conditions next time.

Water hazards surround 70% of the holes, play it short and straight. No water flags to warn you.
