Chimera Golf Club

The deals are great and keep me coming back and the course is great for practice. My only gripes are that the sand is basically rock, the range is a bit torn up and the greens are very unpredictable. Other than that, great experience here.

Second time I played this course. Not bad, I was able to get a steal at $10 per person to play. It’s 110* outside and nobody is really on the course. I took a friend who never golfed in his life. I know course etiquette and all, so I’m aware we’re moving slow. But nobody is behind us until about the 4th hole. I see the people behind us and tell the other two people with me that we will let them pass after this hole so the new person doesn’t feel rushed. Turns out the Marshall is waiting for us, so I tell everyone to pick up the ball. He precedes to tell us the rules which we have no problem with and says if it were busier, he’d ask us to skip a hole. We still skip a hole just to be curtious. The Marshall then sits there and watches us on every swing for two holes. We were about to skip another hole just to get him off of us, but it was too hot and the people behind us quit. Finally the Marshall left and we were able to finish our round. But definitely wasn’t enjoyable having someone watch our every swing for two holes. And it left a bad taste in the new golfers mouth. I get that we were slow, but we literally created no issues at all.

With that said. It’s a really solid deal during hot days!

Always greeted with a smile at Chimera. Very Little shade around the tee boxes but otherwise a fun, challenging course. The carts have gps and the greens aren’t the best but are fairly average for a Las Vegas course. Fairways are a little long but are pretty lush and green with little rough to speak of. The entire course is lined by desert landscaping that tends to slope down towards the hole, so a lot of forgiveness there.

Couldn’t even get through 9 holes due to pace of play. 530 pm on a friday you will do more sitting than playng. Still fun though.

The greens were slow, but its my understanding they were doing maintenance for them and so thats understandable. My Only quam is that the driving range could use some love and care. That being said all the grass and conditions were outstanding for how hot it is! Best course I've played so far (just moved here and played 4 courses so far)
