Chimera Golf Club
About
On your next Las Vegas golf trip, make sure to put Chimera Golf Club at the top of the list of "must plays." Opened in July 2003, Chimera Golf Club (previously known as Tuscany Golf Club) is one of the newer golf courses in Las Vegas.
This Ted Robinson Jr design just minutes away from The Strip measures 6,757 yards from the tips and features 68 white-sand bunkers and enough water hazards to make you wish you brought your beach towel.
Chimera Golf Club will test the skills of low handicappers, but four sets of tees make it accessible to novice golfers. Overall, Chimera Golf Club is an enjoyable, entertaining round of golf in a truly beautiful setting.
Clubhouse:Chimera Golf Club’s centerpiece is a spacious 31,000 square foot Old World Tuscan Village which features a golf retail store, a pub and fine dining restaurant as well as banquet and meeting facilities. An expansive 4,000 square foot patio offers incredible views of the golf course, mountains and Las Vegas Strip. Golfers can take advantage of outdoor dining or just relax after an enjoyable round.
Golf Shop: Welcome to the Village of Tuscany, here in the golf shop you will find everything you would expect to discover at a first class golf club and more. A tremendous selection of stylish sportswear, name brand merchandise and top of the line professional golf equipment awaits every one. Men’s and Ladies clothing lines like Ashworth, EP Pro, Marbas, Tommy Hilfiger, Cutter & Buck, Tilelist, Maxli, Adidas, FootJoy and many, many more.
With over 1000 square feet of retail space, the Chimera Golf Club at Tuscany Shop will provide something for every golfer and gifts every golfer will treasure.
Group Events: Tuscany is a premier setting for groups and corporate outings of all sizes. Banquet facilities can be personalized and separated, creating a private atmosphere for weddings, receptions, parties and business meetings.
Tuscany Community: Tuscany is a master-planned gated golf course community, featuring community parks, walking paths and school for its residents. With nearly 2,000 homes, six home builders and prices ranging from $200,000 to $500,000, Tuscany will offer a wide variety of opportunities to prospective homeowners.

Delays….
This was the slowest play I’ve ever experienced. It took us over an hour to get through the first two holes. On hold number two there were five groups on the hole at one time. So I quit playing after the second hole because starting at noon, there was no way we could finish by sundown. The round at that pace would’ve taken a little over seven hours. When speaking to the ranger, he didn’t seem that interested in doing anything about it. So that’s why I am along with many others quit playing.
Beautiful course and weather.
The course was in great condition. Greens and fairways were green.
Great course layout
Enjoyed the course. The greens were a little bumpy and slow. Only issue were the sand traps needed sand. Looks like the course is planning to add sand because several loads of sand were in the parking lot.
Best Value
Pace was a little slow. Everything was excellent. The course is in great shape, especially for the winter months. Got the rate off Golfnow at $72/each which was excellent. This course is at least a $100 course.
Course is well maintained
If you’re a non resident, I’m not sure if it’s worth it. The course itself is very nice and well maintained. However, everything else like the pro shop, bathroom, carts are very old and dated.
Best shape for the week
This course is well kept up. Cart and cart care girls were great. Pace of play was well monitored. Sand traps could use some sand, but overall course conditions were excellent. One of the best courses for the price in our week of golfing in Vegas.
Course was great, staff not so much
The cart guys were not very helpful. It was a warm day and only provided us two bottled waters per cart (one per player).
The 18th hole greens were covered in bird feces and several birds/ducks were surrounding the greens.
Cheap Round for Good Winter Conditions
Chimera offers the best bang for your buck for afternoon rounds. The fairway and greens were in great conditions for the winter. The only problem is that this becomes a very popular place to play, which causes the back up. Can't complain when you're playing a cheap round.
Just so-so for the money
Just so-so greens ok but not what they expected for such a highly rated course. Ok to play for a warm up round. I would rather go to Summerlin.
