Chimera Golf Club

We really enjoyed our game at Chimera. The course was in really good condition considering it was fall. Although the pace was a bit slow for us as we had to wait a lot and the cart girl never came by on the back nine when we were desperate for water because of the heat, we would still recommend to others to play here and we will be back. Hopefully they will remedy the pace of play and the cart girl situation.

It's not fancy, but I love this place for what it is. The range is nice, the food is good, the workers are friendly and the prices are great. The course is definitely in great shape for the price you can't beat the entertainment

Played with 2 good guys had a good time fairways and tee’s grass was long like the course and slice 19 food was great

I really enjoyed placing this course it offered plenty of opportunities to work on my long game with its great par 4 and par 5s . My only concern was that the rough and grass was a bit high and you could easily lose of not see your ball at glance which could slow your pace in searching. But I'm sure they will address this in near future due to just finish overseeding . Overall I will be back

Friendly staff good food great course with beautiful views

First day open after re-seeding.

In excellent condition and never disappoints.

So first the negatives, there was no notification on GN that it was cart path only. This ALWAYS slows the pace of play but is sometimes necessary, as in this case, to protect newly seeded fairways.

Second negative caused by the attitude of one of the course rangers insisting on carrying on a radio conversation right beside our group on one of the tees. When we asked about the beverage cart stiuation (we saw them twice on the front nine but hadn't seen them in 4 holes on the back nine), he then told us that the beverage cart girls had gone home as it was too hot. When we asked him how we were supposed to get refreshments he told us to call the restaurant and they would bring some out to us. 2 holes later a dark haired vision appeared on a beverage cart and confirmed that she was working until 7pm or until people stopped buying. We were VERY HAPPY to see her as she was so happy to sell us drinks with a smile.

So Mr Ranger, why make a story up? If you don't know the facts, find out. Don't make statements and spread misinformation to customers, especially on a HOT day. Surely you could have offered to continue to make your customers happy by offering to bring refreshments out to the remaining groups.

On a related note, there are no water coolers on the course.

Now for the good bits:

EVERY member of staff, with the exception of the ranger, was wonderful. The greens were in a great condition, from a lack of pitch marks perspective. Given a couple more cuts I'm sure they will be fast and treacherous. The fairways were similarly lush and although there were some bare areas these had been seeded so I expect that this was a short term problem.

Would I return? You bet I would!

The course had just been receded and was cartpath only and 102° out which made it kind of rough for me at 72 years of age. The course had a really nice layout and the greens were in good shape. I would recommend this to any friend of mine
