Forget everything you've heard about that gentler, kinder Pete Dye at Paiute. When you step onto the Wolf Course at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort, the legendary architect with the cold hacker heart returns. And then some. The newest of the three Paiute courses, comes in at a staggering 7,604 yards.
And it's an isolated 7,604 yards. You don't only get lost in your round here. You could almost literally get lost in the desert with a few wrong turns off the cart path. Drives that go flying off target deep into the desert areas are unlikely to found by another human ever. A rattlesnake might be keeping your Pro V1s company for the rest of their days. This is stunning scenery, capable of leaving the most cynical hacker open mouthed.
Paiute Wolf is just a far enough drive away from the Sin City hustle that it's likely the top, high-end course you can easily get on last minute in the Vegas valley. It also might be the best of them all.

Best Course @ Paiute
Toughest in my opinion with similar greens at Snow but improve layout and more bunkers, or at least I was in them more often
Challenging Greens
The course is beautiful. The greens are fast but no very receptive, plan on playing short and rolling in. If you go pin seeking you'll be long every time.

Love this place. No overseed required as this property is on Indian Reservation. Highly recommend for low handicap players. Pete Dye did an amazing job.
Amazing
Perfect weather, course was in amazing condition. Greens were a little slower than normal according to the local we played with but rolled so nice. You see lots of break in putts but they don’t break, should of listened to the guy we played with lol. Usually the course is super windy but today was 5mph max which was a huge surprise and can be a steady 15-20 with 40 mph gusts on any given day there. Would definitely play again

Immaculate course with nice layout.
Gave Paiute a shot after all the fantastic reviews and they did not lie. The course is like a giant green carpet in the middle of the desert. The wind can be challenging. It was blowing 30mph+ which is above average according to the locals. If you know it is going to be that windy, I would stay away…using a 6 iron for 150 yard shot is no fun, especially into an island green. That said, if it is not too windy, I highly advise giving it a shot. It’s an easy 30 minute drive from the strip over a wide highway. $159-209 rack is a little steep but worth it. Tee to green was perfect condition, nice carts with gps, staff was excellent, pro shop is huge. Pace of play was a bit slow. Saw a lot of reviews that golfers were being pressured for pace…that did not happen on the 2 days I was there(Sunday and Monday), marshals were present but close to 5 hour rounds and it was not cart path only.
