Wolf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
Forget everything you've heard about that gentler, kinder Pete Dye at Paiute. When you step onto the Wolf Course at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort, the legendary architect with the cold hacker heart returns. And then some. The newest of the three Paiute courses, comes in at a staggering 7,604 yards.
And it's an isolated 7,604 yards. You don't only get lost in your round here. You could almost literally get lost in the desert with a few wrong turns off the cart path. Drives that go flying off target deep into the desert areas are unlikely to found by another human ever. A rattlesnake might be keeping your Pro V1s company for the rest of their days. This is stunning scenery, capable of leaving the most cynical hacker open mouthed.
Paiute Wolf is just a far enough drive away from the Sin City hustle that it's likely the top, high-end course you can easily get on last minute in the Vegas valley. It also might be the best of them all.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Kwetoo-Unuv Course.

17th hole "island green" Paiute Wolf Course Photo submitted by RockinDoc on 10/05/2012
Must play
Looks easy off the tee and is, but the approach shots are a bear. Definitely need to know the course to score, cause a nice shot into the green can take some crazy bounces. Greens putt very true. I played the whites and found myself hitting too many lob wedges (I drive it about 230-240) so I suggest the blues if you want to get the most out of your day. I really enjoy playing here and usually get paired with nice members.
Nice Course - Staff ?
Like the Wolf course at Paiute, but this time the staff was less than pleasant for some reason. My partner asked why the guy at the desk had such an attitude. The guys outside said things that made us think we should not be there playing on a day with strong winds. Golf was tough, but one needs to play in the wind once in a while as you never know when those conditions will be at the course during a tournament.
Nice but could be better.
Played on Friday after 12PM. Wolf course. very windy around20-35 mph. Started out fine but pace of play was very slow. Marshall really didn't care about our concerns.5 hours to play was way too much. Only got excuses that they shut down the Sun course which is why the Wolf course was overloaded.BAD management in my opinion. You pay to play.If this was a regular event I won't be spending money here again.
Fastest Greens Ever!
Played here on a very windy day. Nothing to even remotely block the wind. But with that said I loved the course. The greens were like lightning but rolled true. I will definitely be back my next time in Vegas.
Fun layout
The course gets better hole be hole. Would not play on a windy day as there is nothing to stop it. The condition of the course was average but they get a lot of play. They do overbook so pace of play was very slow.
Great
Just right, great design, amazing greens, and million dollar views!
Great course - even better staff
I haven't played in Las Vegas before so I cannot comment as much on the value for the area but I was very pleased for what I paid compared to what I usually pay for a nicer course around St. Louis, MO. The course had great views all around and was in great shape. Greens were not too tough and not too much trouble to get into. I was a single sandwiched in between many foursomes and two or three marshals checked on me throughout the round and tried to help but I had a nice round and didn't feel like it took forever for a Sunday round. Could get windy and make it a tough go but plenty of grass and the rough is not a penalty. Played from the black tees and didn't feel like anything was out of reach.
Wolf in Vegas
The check in was seamless, thanks GolfNow. The weather couldn't have been better. Wolf Course condition was excellent and greens hard and fast, don't hold well. Ball seems to roll 15 extra yards on the fairways. They have practice facilities on all 3 courses and a snack shack on the turns for each. Is worth the 18 mile drive north of the Strip for some good golf, and no houses to slice into.
Beautiful course
Enjoyed my round. Course was in excellent condition. And we were able to finish round in 4 hours. Only complaint was that greens were to firm. Still great value
NCCGA Championship at Paiute
We hosted our collegiate club golf National Championship at Paiute on all 3 courses. The staff was extremely prepared for our group and did a great job the minute we came on property. They treated our 348 players really well and we were able to provide a great venue for the students traveling from across the country.
I would recommend this facility to any groups, big or small, that want to have a quality venue with quality staff. Crystal handled all of the logistics onsite for Paiute and was spectacular to deal with.
This is My Kind of Spa!
This golf facility deserves all the accolades. The location is a little out there in the desert but I totally understand the reason. There's nothing like golfing at an oasis, quiet and surreal.
The club house is elevated overlooking the 18th hole of their Snow Course - so nice to just sit inside and enjoy their delicious food, and every staff member from bag drop off, dining, starter and marshal are top notch friendly and accommodating.
Played the Wolf Course which is undoubtly the best of the three courses. The rating and slope speak for itself. It is a wonderfully challenging course and really puts your game to the test.
There is nothing negative I can say about this place. Worth the drive to this spa!
A Must According to Those Golf Sites
Wolf at Paiute is a must according to many golf sites about courses to play in Vegas... So I've been here and done it. Well maintained the course was hilly and all greens were elevated. Couldn't get a ball to stick for the whole round. Playing it short is a better go. A challenge for a 18 handicapper like me.
Best in Las Vegas
Once again, hands down, Paiute Resort is the best in Las Vegas. For daily fee value this experience can NOT be beat.
