On the Classic Club's scenic landscape, golfers will find a wide variety of trees including olive trees, towering pines, and California pepper, but unlike the many other golf courses in Palm Springs, there isn't a single palm tree. The Classic Club opened in 2006 to much acclaim and has since garnered a following amongst locals and visitors. Formerly a host site for the Bob Hope Classic, the challenging layout has an interesting mix of tour-worthy holes including intimidating par 3s balanced by reachable par-5s and short par-4s. Water hazards come into play on 13 holes. The back nine begins with a memorable stretch of holes. The par-4 10th is a tight driving hole with an elevated green and the 11th hole requires a shot over water. The stretch ends with the par-3 12th, which also plays over water to a well protected green.

Great Track

Great day at Classic. Solid layout and track. Good condition. Greens rolling nice. It’s expensive but decent value for money. Staff are first class.

Still a gem

Hadn't played here in a few years. Redo of bunkers was very well done. The course design is or is close to the best in the desert. Played in 4 hours. The staff was great and love the towel and voucher for food. Hats off to Classic Club!

Excellent!

Greens were a bit slow and some of the oversees hadn’t come in yet so some of the run off areas were so slick that your ball would find the water easily. Overall, fantastic golf experience

great golf, it really is Classic.!

the 19 th hole food was not at all up to the rest.

We 2 played 3 rounds, and tried 6 different dishes, below mediocre at best. Fast food -served slow, highly advertised , but totally disappointing.

Enjoyable round

It was my first time playing this venue. Signed up as a single after reading the excellent reviews, 8:00 am time to beat the heat. Played as a single when the twosome I was paired with didn't show.

Great service, free balls to hit, four bottles of water in the little cooler, two wet towels hanging on the card and carts with GPS to guide you. Played behind a twosome (couple) with a foursome behind. Never needed to pair up since the pace was decent (3:40 to play the round and I never waited long to hit. The course was is pretty good shape considering the crazy temperatures they've been dealing with. A few patched fairways but they were mostly grown in. Greens were in good condition, true and not too fast. Water in play on multiple holes so it can be a test if you're not on your game.

No complaints at all. The beverage cart made the rounds and the snack bar was quick and easy. The main grill was apparently being renovated but it wasn't something i was looking to use, so no issues there. I would recommend it if you're in the area and will probably play again if/when I get back.
