Stoneybrook East Golf Course

Greens need attention. A lot of areas with water accumulation on greens. Great layout but fairways are either too wet or too dry.

Was improving, now greens seem to be getting worse.

This is one of my favorites courses in Orlando, great design, good conditions and a perfect day

Nice layout. noticed the greens needed a little work, just an observation the holes needed to be changed less and be done by someone who knows what their doing

Lost to many golf balls but the course and weather was perfect

The good:

- Very nice practice area with a large putting green and an aqua range.

- Greens were lovely and rolled true, but they were much slower than most other courses in the area.

- Great course layout. The holes are all well designed, and there is plenty of water to make things interesting. Each hole was pretty memorable.

The bad:

- SLOW greens, and they were very squishy when you walked on them like they had been seriously over-watered. I don't know how much rain Orlando has gotten recently, but I played two other courses nearby within a day of this tee time, and neither was wet.

- Tee box and rough were in pretty poor condition. It was very hard to find a place with enough grass to tee the ball up as well as find a good stance. Fairways were decent in most cases.

- EXTREMELY long distances between holes (1/4-1/2 mile in some cases). It's definitely unwalkable.

- Clubhouse looks brand new from the outside, but the inside, including the bathrooms, looks straight out of the 80's. Everything in the bathroom looks and feels old and worn, and the rest of the clubhouse looks like it's just storage.

- Food options were extremely limited in the pro shop and snack bar with only a few pre-made sandwiches other than snacks, and there were no food options near the course either, so eat before you get to the area.

The ugly:

- NO WATER JUGS ON THE COURSE and no beverage cart on a Sunday at peak playing time! Unacceptable for a FLORIDA golf course.

Pace will always be an issue with no ranger . Conditions were pretty good. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens. It took only one group that had no awareness to slow down the pace. 4 groups on a par 3 and par 4 hole..

Nobody in front of us and nobody behind us, weather was perfect and I need more offers on greenfees so I can play more golf

The course allowed a group of 6, followed by a group of 5 (most were beginners) early on a weekend. They had NO course etiquette (driving carts up next to green, hitting multiple balls off the tee until they liked one, did not allow groups behind to play through, etc) Once we skipped two holes to get in front of them, never saw another group and played fast. If we would not have skipped it would have easily been a +6 hour round.

No excuse from the course to allow this, no starter, no Marshall on a weekend!! I have no issue with beginners learning the game but atleast have some knowledge of the etiquette.

With no starters and/or no Marshall this is not a repeat course for me which is unfortunate because course was in good shape.

Played the course several years ago the greens are improved. The fairways need some work and tee boxes. Had a great time the course was wide open didn't have to worried about pace of play..

I don't know why no one was out there. It's a great course with some interesting holes and lots of water. Great carts with auto brakes. Excellent putting green that was consistent with the greens on the course. Putts ran true. Greens were firm but receptive. Did 18 in less than two and a half hours. Very friendly Clubhouse staff that said I could go out whenever I wanted because there was no one there which was weird. Nice central location that was easy to get to. I'll definitely be back when I return in the fall.
