Trump National Doral Miami - Red Tiger Course
About
The Red Tiger Course (formerly known as Red Course) at the Trump National Doral Miami is one of five 18-hole courses at the resort. Each golf course offers unique challenges for golfers of every skill level. The Red Tiger Course puts a premium on shot placement as well as strategy. The course features fairways that wind around lakes situated throughout, which serve as water hazards that come into play on 14 holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play. The sixth and 14th holes have challenging island greens. Trump National Doral Miami, in addition to being home to five courses and a golf school, also has practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Great course
Red Tiger is always a treat for me because it’s a really cool layout. I love the extra par 3 and par 5 on each 9, since that’s unique. Excellent condition.
Beautiful Complex--some small issues
Played Tiger Red course and it was in really good shape.Fun course with lots of water.Just a few issues that need to be corrected.A few traps were not racked as of 10:30 am.That should not happen. In addition maintenance carts are extremely noisy which distracts from the calmness of the place. And as mentioned in other reviews there is absolutely no service at all in dealing with clubs and getting to your cart.Kind of reminded me of the Walking Dead with golf bags attached.Tons of golfers coming from every corner walking slowly lugging their clubs a 100 yards at a death pace. But the golf is solid.
It’s ok.
Nice greens. Lots of water. Bev cart once in 4+ hrs. Understaffed it seemed. I would pay $120 tops for Red Tiger.
Always love playing Doral. Able to book and play Red, Gold, and Silver on Golfnow. Someday I’ll play Blue Monster, but for now prefer Hot Deals on other three courses.
Downhill
$10 to park. Cart lady 1 time Very unfriendly and inefficient staff. Shuttle from parking lot after paying to park was a nightmare. No ranger. Multiple fivesum. Wait on every tee box. Covid used as an excuse for everything but this is a course that charges premium prices but treat you like cattle
Great Course!111
Lovely and beautiful course !!! Really nice with too much Water.
Exceeded expectations
This is a good place in general. Probably got lucky but played in 2.5 hours by myself. Record pace and played the tips. Not an easy track. Greens were lightning and near too perfect. (Putt from below the pin for birdie and miss the cup and it rolls back further than where i started) Will go back. It was a treat.
Poorly Managed
The first time in my life I had to pay to park at a course. Then humped our bags around 300 yards to the Pro Shop which was difficult to find due to poor signage. Also, The Donald needs to send his staff to charm school because they were less than helpful or respectful. They just look at you waiting for you to ask a question.
It's a great layout. The course was in good condition with fast greens.
Great layout, but a very expensive course
The course conditions are great and the layout is pretty awesome. Basically it boils down to price and that is something that many golfers are okay with and to others it is an issue. These courses are legendary on their own way and they are definitely worth playing once in a while.
One suggestion I would make is to the fact that there isn't a good way to drop you clubs and then park either way you have to wait for the shuttle which nobody tells you exists or walk all the way from self parking to the golf shop. Since valet parking is still pretty far from the golf shop. Those are trivial things but for the price it could be better accommodated.
Nice Course on a Not So Nice day
To be perfectly fair about this review, it's the first time I've played this particular course and the conditions were less than ideal. To say it was windy is an understatement. That said I did not play particularly well so hopefully it doesn't sound like that is part of my review. Here is my observations: The staff were super friendly and helpful. Not sure why the starter had me wait for over an hour for my exact tee time as I was a single and the tee box was empty 40-50% of the time. Maybe it's rules, I don't know. Tee boxes to greens very good. Lots of water and with the wind it was near impossible to judge your shots (not that I'm that good a golfer). Played the Golden Palm a couple of years ago in better conditions so I shot better and was more receptive to a more positive review. Took a 2 1/2 hr. ride down because I got a good deal through GN and to be perfectly frank, there are some courses up around me that are better and a lot less expensive. Still, it was Trump and I hope I get the opportunity to play this one again under better conditions. The price is out of my league so unless a good deal comes along it may be a long time until I get that chance. I hope this helped.
