Mountain Golf
Played this beautiful course many times. It is a serious challenge for we flatlanders! Always in excellent shape, except when aeration and sand are needed….as is the case anywhere.
Unique holes will challenge your club selections and shot shapes. Uphill and downhill, this course will win your desire to return!

Sandy Greens, beautiful course and views
The greens were recently aerated and sanded...so putting was a challenge! Lovely course, some very challenging holes, and many deer! Lot of elevation change and sloping fairway shots. Try to play this course at least once annually. (Live 5 hours away in the flatlands!)
Real hidden gem
Well-maintained mountain course in a beautiful location.
Small-ish greens that had lots of contours and tiers and were fun to play. Lots of doglegs and variety.. Even kicked off the back nine with an island green .Great elevation changes and views. No sand traps on entire course?!. I assume they were intentionally removed but plenty of grass bunkering remains for green protection.
Had a throwback feel, and I mean that as a good thing. Had a great time and will come back.
Wild Wonderful West Virginia
I have played here multiple times. It is so pretty, the layout is challenging ( I don't need such a challenge!), the greens are tough especially if you are above the hole. I love it even if I don't score well. Thank you Highlands Golf!
Greens are excessively difficult.
For a player new to the course, the greens are just too tough to read and undulate excessively.
Great price, great course.
Can't believe you can play a course like this for this price. It is a very difficult course but in great shape. The course is in a very remote location but it's a beautiful drive if you have the time.
Worth the trip
This out of the way course for most is definitely worth the trip over from Harrisonburg. From tees to green in great shape. Good design and really fun to play.

One of the most beautiful courses you will play. Course is in excellent shape all around! Only con is there isn’t enough play to justify keeping hot food, so pack a lunch!
Well worth the money
I’ll keep it simple. Great staff, laid back atmosphere, but a really nice course. Beautiful setting. A restaurant would be nice

Fun day of golf, Course was in great shape. The staff was very friendly and supportive. We will definitely be visiting this course again.
