Great Course to spend the day
I came to play on my own and was lucky enough to be paired with another gentleman. I had a great time, course is in great condition, the greens were amazing.
Great layout with some difficult holes but over all experience is great.
Great greens!!!
Yesterday was my first time playing at Eastwood, and I was happy with every aspect of the course and clubhouse/employees. Donna was extremely friendly and polite, also knowledgeable and helpful by giving me some nuggets of info on the course. Moving forward I very briefly met two grounds employees who were doing a darn fine job working on the greens. The greens were beautiful, and very fun to play on. The course layout is definitely one of my new favorites! I highly recommend this course!!
Always loved it here
I know I know this course hasn’t always been the best but in my opinion it’s in the best condition I’ve seen it since I’ve been playing for 5 years. Greens are awesome minus a few with some patch issues but other than that it’s a big turn around. Dawn in the Pro shop was a delight, truly the epitome of customer service after a mishap with a dying cart, I called her and she came out immediately to swap it for me even though I didn’t need end up needing it. Will definitely be playing this course in my regular rotation, thanks again!!
Nice afternoon
Pro Shop lady was great. Super helpful. Course could use a mowing, but was in good shape. I haven't been here for a few years...looks as if they're abandoning some fairway bunkers. Fun afternoon.
Perfect condition
The course was very clean and very well maintained. I would not pay twice money to go somewhere else.
Work in progress
Great greens, good tee boxes but fairways still need much work. The clubhouse staff (proshop) were helpful and accommodating. Would play again.
I was the first tee time and no one else scheduled. Therefore pace of play was excellent. The greens were in great shape. The fairways had not been mowed and it was difficult to tell whether you were in the fairway or the rough if you were a little left or right.
Improving
Anyone that's played Eastwood over the years has known that the ownership abandoned this once great course with the transparent play of trying to sell it as commercial real estate. Thanks to the residents and surrounding neighborhoods this did not happen.
In the last year the management has invested in new greens, hired groundskeepers that are trying their best with limited equipment and manpower to continually work on and restore the tee boxes and fairways that have been neglected for many years. This is my home course and I played it 4.16.2018 with a hotdeal and was pleased to note the following improvements:
Pros:
Greens roll true and fast.
Tee boxes are coming back
Fairways are improving
Groundskeepers
Cons:
Golfers driving up to green collar (all 18 greens need to be roped off like they do at other courses to preserve the investment made)
Some of the new greens have been eroded due to poor maintenance.
Management lack of funding and continued support.
Stay away
This is easily the worst golf course I’ve ever played on !! Terrible fairways , new greens that have been washed out by the sprinkler system
Stay away, go play in a cow pasture it will be the same but it won’t cost 48 bucks
Loved the change from straight to the many dog legs.
Recently found this coarse as this was our third round for our group. Great lay out, friendly staff from pro shop to the restaurant staff. A should play for every level of play.
The course is a work in progress, some obvious signs of improvement, greens recently reseeded and putting well. Tee boxes reasonable, fairways and bunkers need work, compared to 3 years earlier it's improved a lot. A good layout and will benefit from extra course work. Give it a try.
Rough
Unnecessarily in rough shape.Poor fairways for the most paty. After being closed for 4 or 5 months to redo greens I believe they did a poor job on many of them. I play it because of the convenience not the condition!
most tee boxes in poor shape however since I tee the ball up ,not a biggie.Fairways really need work playable if you don't mind rolling the ball over, very fast.Traps were in good shape ,ample sand and raked.Greens overall are the bright spot ,real nice speed and condition, bare spot s on fringes.Checked in 5 minutes before a group of 15 were to tee-off and 30 min.before my sch.tee time was told to go ahead of them ,oh yeah I'm a single....
Nice layout but a little beet up.
Nice layout but a little beat up. Over half the greens were beat up. Hopefully it was just due to the time of year.
