Fun for all ages
The course was very wet and flooded in areas. The wind was gusting which made the course a bit longer. All in all, it was a beautiful day for golf with a few extra challenges!
Great golf course
Great value, Great golf course Would recommend this golf course to others.
they didn't honor the golf now tee time
Booked a 0730 tee time through golfnow. The course had a club tournament scheduled and bumped our tee time to 0745 without letting me know. They stacked groups on 17 & 18, so we actually started after 0830. The course itself was I fair condition, but we played a 4.5 hour round and wat he members drive carts up to the edges of the greens repeatedly. I will never play this course again! It took 14 months for me to come back after my last experience, so shame on me for thinking it might have changed. People were waiting over an hour past their tee time even after we finished our round. Horrible.
Soggy but Solid Play
The course was soft and soggy at times, with many water filled bunkers even though it hadn't rained for a couple of days. Greens were in decent shape. Play was slow, especially in early part of round. The whites at 6500 may be too long for high handicappers; it as for the group in front of us. At $28 it is good value for FL golf. They have a shortage of carts and the course is too spread out walk so get there early or you'll be waiting for carts to return before you can head out.
Staff very friendly
Pace of play was very slow. There was no ranger. The course was VERY wet. Sand traps had like 8 inches of water in them.
Could be a great course if given alittle TLC.
always enjoy this course
Greens a little rough . But always enjoy playing this course . always recommend this track to friends
Decent course, play at a discount
This was my second round here. The first went very poorly and I swore I'd never come back. Well I got a hot deal for $13 and the other courses are pricey this time of year. The greens were in good shape, no complaints there. Course is in decent shape overall. Very slow pace of play. Over 5 hours for my friend and I, and we play fast. Don't play unless you get a great deal.
Cart Trouble
It was my 1st time playing this course and overall it was fun. There were quite a few soggy/muddy areas throughout the course. It had been about 4 days since it last rained so the course doesn't hold water very well. Our cart started to lose power about halfway through #15. My partner called the pro shop to report it and asked if they could send us out a fresh cart to swap out but nobody showed up. The cart got worse so about halfway through #16 he called again and they said they sent somebody out but he couldn't find us but they would send them a 2nd time but nobody showed up again. The cart finally died completely about halfway through #17 so he called a 3rd time. We waved the group behind us to hit their tee shots and when they got up to us in the fairway they suggested that we join up with them since they were 2 singles playing with their own carts. We did that and were able to finish our round before dark but it was VERY frustrating to have called the pro shop 3 times and still have been stranded on the course. That is unacceptable!
Plays long
This course plays long I'm not sure if it was due to the undulations or cool temp but club up if you want to reach the green in two. Enjoyed the course will play it again when in the area.
Tight lies
Course was muddier and had significantly less grass in the fairways than I recall from previous outings. Greens were in pretty good condition
Poor customer service, poor pace of play, Overall Poor
Went to play this course on Friday afternoon. Played as a single. There were three groups ahead of me, two were 4 and one was a group of 5 members. After 9, I stopped by the pro shop to see if they could split up the group of 5.
The response given to me was that they were keeping up with the group ahead of them so they weren't going to split them up. When I say that the rule on their scorecard says that slower groups should let faster players go through, Gretchen at the pro shop told me that "they have the right to let me play through."
The fact that this course does nothing to speed up play is absolutely awful.
Looking at the course, fairways were not in great condition. Some bunkers had water still in them and it hasn't rained in days here. Greens were very bumpy and they were quite slow.
Also, the ownership group is talking about closing this course to develop houses and such. Definitely think that should happen because this course definitely isn't what it once was.
FAIZTRINI
I enjoyed playing 18 holes at this course and was extremely pleased with the Staff especially Justin at The desk..
At the course you also had the pleasure of the company of the leader of the Opposition party of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The company I layed were extremely helpful as to the challenges along the course.
Thanks

great value
great value through golf now.played off 2nd set of tees at approx 6,700 yds and found challenging.everything was good
Not worth the money
Even with a Hot Deal from GolfNow, I would not recommend. For the most part the fairways were hard and in need of much care - lots of 'weed-ridden', brown fairways and the greens had many 'patches' of the same. A nice layout that needs lotsa love! Should have know when I went on the putting green, or should I say putting 'brown'!
golfhead
Had a good time love the lay out. Every hole had it owe personally. .can't wait to go back and play again.when the wind is not blowing 40 miles an hour. .
EastWood is nice Value Course
I used to play Eastwood when they still worked the golf shop out of a trailer; it's the same layout, just a few more houses along the back9. The greens roll really well, although there are a few spotted with chickweed (I'm sure they will kill it off these tiff-D surfaces). At any rate, I was pleasantly surprised by course conditions, and of course, the outstanding Hot Deals special price & sunshine make for an outstanding afternoon.
Eastwood
Good course, we enjoyed the play, there are some long fairway to add to the challenge and the water hazards claimed a couple ball..............
Horrible conditions
This course has not had rain in over two weeks and still has a cart path under water. Fronts of most of the greens are so soggy your ball almost plugs. Alot of the greens the balls semi plug on shots coming in on a high trajectory. Tee boxes have alot of weeds. Rough is a mess, good luck finding your ball as more than likely it will plug. Looks like they were just able to mow the rough as there was almost haylike grass everywhere. Practice green, don't even bother as its pretty much weeds and bare patches. The greens on the course were mostly not too bad and still rolled pretty good although some greens had some bare spots. Areas just off the greens had weeds and alot of bare patches or just plain dirt.
On her last legs....
I've played Eastwood 50 times over the past 10 years....never seen her in worse shape, they have thrown in the towel. Hadn't rained in a week but course was flooded, tee boxes were awful, crab grass everywhere, bunkers over-grown, fairways were spotty ,rough was nasty..greens are still holding on but won't be for long. slow play for a monday, lots of singles and a 5-some holding up the entire font 9
