Poor maintenance and conditions
Course was flooded. Not a avoid drainage system. Terrible conditions. Nice layout but tee boxes, greens and fairways are a
In really bad shape.
Wear your waders
While no one can control the weather, but the course is swamped and should have been closed. The fairways are in rough shape since they are too wet to cut and every other drive, plugged in the ground. There was standing water on the cart paths. Both of us were soaked through by the time we made the turn.
Bring your submarine
Course should not have been open for play. So much rain this week and maintenance was not done. Cart path only because carts would sink and get stuck if venturing off of them. Wasn't one cart path that you werent going through deep puddles. Lost balls in the rough and even in the fairways because of standing water and uncut roughs. Most bunkers were completely under water so balls were lost there too. They were charging full rack if you didn't book on Golfnow. I will never play here again. Not because of the conditions but the lack of integrity by management to not think of their customers.
good day golfing
had a good day golfin, saw a couple of deer and what looked like bear droppings. yes I was close to the edge most of the day but still scored ok. wish I would have taken pic of deer. as always, with my game, pack an extra sleeve of balls.
Needs TLC
The course was in fairly rough shape for play. The tee boxes were sandy or had weeds growing in them. The fairways were in fair condition, the greens were in fair condition, the first cut and rough cut were in fairly poor condition.
Not played Eastwood in 10 years
Eastwood was my home course for high school golf club. i had not played the course in 10 years. The course was just as i remembered it. There are a lot of Dog-Leg holes which keeps this course challenging and fun.
The rough was deep and high, lost 6 balls this way.
All in all, its a good choice, and the deal from Golf Now made it that much better.
No drainage
After having no rain for over a week there was a pretty strong storm the night before my round here at Eastwood. There was a tremendous amount of standing water and puddles throughout the course. The rough is in poor shape and not maintained well. The bunkers were hard as concrete and most were under water. If I hadent only paid $20 thru golfnow I would have asked for a refund.
Not bad for practice
I paid $20 for this round, and think I got decent value for my money. The course is in OK condition. You can discern fairways from roughs, but areas outside the fairway, like between a fairway and a green, can be very over-grown. Lots of water, as usual. Course layout had a few interesting holes. There are several doglegs and one that almost makes a u-turn with a completely blind approach, unless you carry 250+ with your drive. The course was very wet, pretty normal for this time of year. The greens were almost spongy in some instances, helping me score fairly well, since every shot that hit the green held. Bunkers were a bit of a mess, with some grass growing in them and some lose rocks. Carts were in decent shape. All in all, worth my money and I will play there again.
Gone downhill
Have played Eastwood quite a bit over the years but this is the worst I have seen it. Putting green was mostly taken over by weeds. The bunkers have no sand and there was grass in some of the bunkers. It's a fun course when it is in decent shape. It really needs some work.
Great value
Great value and great course, well maintained and well run
worst shape ever
I live on number two and have played Eastwood for 19 years. This is the worst shape it has ever been in. Sand traps not cared for in weeks with standing water. Bridges you drive over and wonder if they will support you. Large places around greens with no grass, only dirt, like number 15. Unfriendly staff.
great course for the price
Great Deal On Golf Now, Was Kinda Nervous About The Low Rates But Was Very Pleased Upon arrival. The Course Was Very Wet But Its Florida In The Summer So It Was Expected. The Fairways And Greens Were Dryer So It Drains Well Into The Lower Areas. My Only Complaint OF The Bunkers. Great Course For A Round With Friends Or A Warm Up Round Before A Tournament.
Wet wet wet!!!!
Almost have to use cart path for every hole. Rain has ruined it.
Could Use Some Service
Not a bad place but no restrooms on the course, the water coolers are empty and NO Cartgirl. You stop at the clubhouse and no ones in there eating or drinking so why not send someone out on the course to serve the people paying to play golf? The course was under water so bad that we lost a ball in a bunker that had 3' of water in it.
Lake Eastwood
This course is extremely wet and does not drain at all after rain. Several of the holes had standing water in the fairway with much of the rough completely unplayable. Lots of unplayable lies. On the positive side, the greens were in terrific shape.
fun course
The course was in very good condition even after all the rain the bunkers on the other hand were full of water the course was very fun to play
Great greens, good course
This course is a great fun technical course. Only bad thing about it is drainage, stay away after a rain. Otherwise, course is amazing.
Same as usual
Course is always wet. Has been like this for the 16 years I have lived here. Weeds everywhere, many sand traps flooded, Thin fairways and poorly maintained.
It isn't getting any better and the pace of play was slow even though there weren't very many people on the course. The two foursomes in front of my twosome didn't care we were waiting on every hole.
Wetter than wet
Not a bad course but it had rained the previous 2-3 days and the course was very wet. Just doesn't drain well I guess as there are plenty of lakes and drainage ditches all along the course. Made for a long day of looking for plugged balls in the fairway and don't even bother if you hit it in rough. Water up to cart path in many places.
This course is a lil trying.
I would love to play here again when the green is more dryer.
I live here and play here....this is absolutely not true. Course is in dire need of maintenance...never has drained well....not properly managed. Don't pay more than $15-$18 for this course.
