Stay away from it.
Very disappointed in the course condition, would not recommend this course to anyone. It was so bad I only played 9-holes and left.
Pretty pitiful when there are no rakes around the sand traps and none on the cart.
Eastwood
The greens are in need of work and the pace of play was slow
This course has has an excellent layout!
Nearly 7000 yards from the back, TRUELY an excellent opportunity for the low handicapper that stays in the fairway and can attribute bad scores to poorly placed shots. I play from 6539 yardage and it's all I want. The course has well kept fairways and bunkers, Eastwood is an excellent challange for anyone. The greens are relatively fast which makes putting challenging.
Course needs better maintenance
Course was in need of better maintenance all around. Very limited ball washer stations, no water on the course (was told they pulled the jugs 2 years ago), greens had been recently sanded so putting left trails on all greens. Pro shop staff dismissive attitude did not provide a welcome of any sort. Probably won't play here again when there are so many more courses in better shape around Orlando.
Had a great time with my family and friends.
The staff lady was very helpful at the front desk. The fairways were a little high and could of been cut. But like usual the course is always a bit challenging.
course condition is excellent
many challanging holes, the greens and fairways are in excellent condition, a lot of traps to negotiate, in all a great course to play. one bad thing is the price for florida residents and florida seniors are high compared to other area courses of the same quality
Eastwood golf course, Orlando
Course was in great shape. back during the spring it was not, but that has changed since then. Greens were rolling very good and great shape.
Good course and challenging
Course needs a little bit of attention but overall pretty good. Greens are very nice.
For $31 its worth playing
Got the tee time through GolfNow ($31 with tax). In the fall/winter in Orlando that's a decent rate. It's a fun and challenging layout. There's a number of doglegs and water holes and you can score well if you use smart course management. Long hitters can be fooled if they play from the middle tees if they don't pay attention to yardage and how far away landing areas are, especially on doglegs. There are no ball washers or cart girl on the course so be prepared. Course could use maintenance (some patchy areas, grass slightly long in some areas and on some tee boxes, some small rocks in bunkers, some bunker rakes were broken), but for the most part the greens were in good shape and for $31 bucks it's a good value.
Good condition but its been better
Greens were in pretty good condition but there were some that were diseased. No one seems to fix ball marks at this course so some of the greens looked like there were just hit by a meteor shower. lots of weeds in the fairways and most of the tee boxes were pretty chewed up. All this being said, the course was very playable. Great value and probably one of the better maintained public courses in the area.
Good course for the money!
Eastwood is a good golfing venue. Close to town, priced for Floridians. The greens were in pretty good shape, a little faster than they appeared, yet receptive for soft landings from high shots.
Like most non-tourist courses, there is no refreshment cart and no ranger,
good condition
good pace of play well maintained good value for round of golf.
Course in in very good shape.
I enjoyed the course. This is the 1st time playing it in over a year. There has bben some great inprovements to it.
I will be playing it some more in the future.
Swamp
Played this course on the recommendation of someone I played with earlier in the year. Rates are reasonable so I took a chance. It seemed as though every fairway was soaked. Along with cart damage, the fairways could not be properly maintained when wet, so mowing hadn't been done in quite awhile either.
Otherwise, an interesting layout. This too can frustrate a first time player without guidance (no yardage book available, no gps).
Not sure I'll give this one another chance.
Has some great holes
A little disorganized as far tee time, we started 20 min late.
It was on a Saturday, it is probably better on weekdays.
After the 5 first holes the pace of play picked up, all in all not bad for Sat. morning
CHALLENGING LAYOUT, GREENS ALWAYS GOOD
Have played Eastwood for years, this is a nice challenging course. It will test your game. The condition is as good as it has been in a while right now. Love the finishing three holes, long par 5 and two beautiful par4s
This is a good course and the white tee's play long
I liked the course and will play again sometime soon maybe jan 2013
Good track, too many weeds
This course has always been a good track, but conditions seem to have gone down hill over the Summer. I'm sure this will improve over the Winter months.
course was nice had a lot of blind tee shots and hard dog legs
Pretty nice over all ,greens were rolling. In the wind i think this course plays 3-5 shots over par in 10/15 mph and 20/25 gusts
in very good shape
Course was in very good shape. Greens were extremely fast, akin to North Shore greens ( same management co.). #17 green was the only one that needed attention. rough cut nicely, fairways maintained.
