About
The Navy Golf Course Seal Beach is a 27-hole facility that includes the championship Destroyer Course and the nine-hole executive Cruiser Course. The 6,780-yard Destroyer Course presents a challenge even for low handicappers with a slew of hazards coming into play throughout. The small greens have challenging slopes ranging from subtle breaks to dramatic drop-offs. To make them even tougher, you'll find strategically placed bunkers lurking along the edges. The tricky doglegs, which are mostly par 4s, will force you to think carefully about your club selection, and to top it all off, water makes an appearance on almost every hole. It's a long golf course that feels even longer due to the rolling terrain, but it is more forgiving than it seems with long, wide fairways that won't penalize you for being slightly errant.

Great Course
This course is in great shape all around! Only issue is pace of play. Last time out I got skipped by 2 groups that had a later tee time than me and played super slow all day, to the point there was a hole and a half gap in front of them.

Course conditions were excellent but playing was so slow. I finished 15 holes in 4 and half hours.

Average course
Expect the pace of play to be long. Be aware of a major back up on hole #9 as this is a par 3. Which will cause a delay due to a water hazard, lots of lost balls and players re tee instead of taking a drop. Overall a decent course but could not finish 18 holes even with a tee time of 1:20 pm.

Waited on nearly every shot
Course did not honor my confirmed, written, pre-paid reservation made through Golf Now, instead wanting me to tee off a half hour later, insuring that I wouldn’t complete round by dark. I insisted, and the startet put me in a group that started just 20 mins late. Not a single marshal anywhere on course monitoring play, and back nine was SLOW. Result was having to come in for darkness after 15 holes. Great course, apparently badly managed.

Tee Times
I absolutely love this track. My one and only issue is I only have one day a week that I am able to play golf. I have a pretty stable foursome I play with and we would like to make Navy golf course a regular course to play but we are not able to get a tee time for Thursday morning, so unfortunately we must find some where else to play every Thursday. I have played Navy golf course since I was in the National Guard in the early 1980's. I understand your tee time availability. and it is a shame we cannot play this golf course more on a regular basis.
online booking is very difficult
I receive email from Navy Golf Course every week. I have not been able to book a tee time because online booking keep showing Error sign when I try to book. For that reason I have not palyed at the course since, I guess, March 2022. I wish they upgrade the online booking system by now.
