Cypress Lakes Golf Course

Last time I played this course it was in poor condition. But now it's excellent. Sand in the bunkers, fairways are green and greens are excellent. Vast improvement.....

Solid test. No wind and the course played long from the white tees. course was in pretty good shape, and the greens were in perfect condition.medium fast. Good no frills golf course. Worth a try.

This has typically been an average course and fairly easy to get on, the condition of the fairways and greens has significantly improved over the past year. While being a flat course it can be challenging due to the windy conditions (next to Travis AFB), the improved course conditions have made this much more enjoyable.

Although course was on the dry side the greens, teeboxes and fairways were green. Grass tees in the driving range goes along way as well.

Course was drying out (significantly) so balls were running down the fairways. Greens were in great condition... firm, but chip/approach shots were sticking. Greens rolled true. Eddie in the kitchen made a great club sandwich with fries. Definitely returning. Always consistent conditions and consistent staff.

I understand it's a military course and they don't work with a large budget. However, it was sad to see the condition of the course. The day I went it wasn't too busy due to the weather being quite hot, as in triple digits. I could see the course has potential. Someone just needs to invest some time and effort and it could be a great course to play. The course is called Cypress Lakes. I think what I thought could be a pond but of course it was dry and empty. Lastly, if you don't like flat courses this is not the course for you.

Haven’t played here in years. Course in good condition. Greens in great condition. Just enough wind so that you didn’t get really hot. Just wish I play better. lol

The greens are in good shape. However, I can't count the number of lost balls that went just off the fairway into the rough. The rough is so long everywhere, unless you run to your ball it is lost. It would be great if they took better care of the grass and the overall course.

Great greens for a basic flat straight forward course. Very playable for all golfers.

Mack and I had a great round of golf and look forward to our next day at Cypress.

Very good course to satisfy golf pleasure not so difficult you can apply all your golf swings on every hole front and back 9 have even difficulty, well maintained.

What you see is what you get. Pretty straight forward golf course with a few tricky holes. Fairways were in decent shape. Greens were still recovering from being aerated. Some traps were firm. Not a bad practice course if you live in the area but wont drive out of my way to play it. Fair.

Though it was very windy, I played the course good enough to be respectable.

Mid-day round (1216pm). Every Monday, the course starts on 10th hole. Course was damp throughout and fairways were slow (not a lot of rollout). Because of damp conditions on back 9, greens were slow too. By time we made turn to Front 9 (200pm) conditions were drying out. Greens were faster. Good course. Highly recommend for price and course conditions.
