Cypress Lakes Golf Course

I play Cypress at least twice a week. When the weather is mild the course plays extremely well due the winds are light. After a few days of rain, the grass is always high until the mowers can get out on the course. Aerating of the greens made putting very challenging and at times, unbearable.

The course is well laid out, not much elevation change but enough distance and turns to make it challenging especially with the normal wind in this area.

Cypress Lakes is my home course that I enjoy on a regular basis. On this day, I was pleasantly surprised with a some very courteous golfers. I say that because they let me play through while they took their time. I was playing solo and plying well, so the other groups allowed me to go past them. I love when golfers have great etiquette as apposed to the rude inconsiderate ones.

Conditions couldn’t have been better. The temperature was pleasant with the wind almost nonexistent. Generally when I play this course the wind can be upwards of 20 mph making it very challenging.

Enjoyed our round and would go back in a heartbeat!

They maintained the course very well, same was five years ago, the only thing been change is driving range. Before was hilarious, couldn't tell if its driving range or not. Overall i highly recommended anyone to come and play this course..i loved this course ( military course is one of the best ) your on your owned

For $15 dollars to walk it is a great deal. It does get very windy so keep the ball low. They do want you off the course by 8- 8:15 which is a pain if you tee off any later than 4 pm.

Long distance, difficult rough, windy... but it's really in great shape!

Cypress Lakes is a fun course to play. The terrain is flat but the greens are built up. There is some water on the course to add some challenges. Hole #18 is an interesting rick-reward hole. The rough was a few inches deep and very sticky. It was hard to hit good approach shots from the rough because of this. The greens were very fast and moderately undulating. The biggest factor was the wind that blew constantly all afternoon. The wind added to the calculus needed for each shot. The greens and fairways were in good condition. All in all, we had an enjoyable afternoon playing Cypress Lakes and would play it again.

Cypress Lakes is maybe in the best condition I have seen it in the 25 years I have been playing there. The fairways are groomed perfectly, the greens are true and the roughs are very rough. The bunkers can still use a little work. Thanks to the grounds keepers and mother nature for doing such a great job!

The grass is terrible right now.... they need to cut the grass and cut it more often. Bathrooms were nice at the clubhouse, and it was nice having restrooms on the course. Nice to have a place to get water at each hole also. Carts are nice and clean. Once they get the grass cut, go and play!

This course is really down. We had to play the back nine twice. The front nine was closed. We would have like to have been told before booking our round. We tried to call but no one answers the phone. The course was very wet. The grass was so tall that we could not find our balls.
