About
Cobblestone Park Golf Club has 27 championship holes that stretch across more than 240 acres of rolling hills. The course has some of the highest points in Richland County, providing panoramic views on nearly every hole. Formerly known as the University Club, Cobblestone Park is home to the University of South Carolina's golf teams. The holes are divided into three nines, each with a unique character, though they are all defined by the rolling hills. The Gold nine is the shortest of the three but thanks to the elevation changes, you don't miss the length. There are strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens and tall oaks and pines line the fairways. In addition to the 27-hole course, Cobblestone Park G.C. also boasts one of the largest private practice facilities in the South, which includes a large driving range, pitching and putting greens, and a practice bunker.

My first Hole in One
What a great course indeed. Everything is awesome about this course. I scored my first ever Hole in One at Black #2 par 3 playing Garnet/Black.

The Best in Columbia, SC
Played Garnet/Black. Well maintained, greens, fairways and tee boxes are in excellent shape. Beautiful surroundings. Great clubhouse and excellent Staff. Missed a hole in one today.

Cobble stone
Very hilly course glad I had a cart...but off back tees a good challenge and very enjoyable. Greens were nice and fast...A true challenge for your golf skills

Repairing the greens
So far every time I’ve went they have been repairing the greens. I don’t care to pay that much for golf for having very inconsistent greens play. I still believe the course is beautiful and love the multiple options. We were forced to partner up with another 2 person group of “club” members, they were some of the most inconsiderate players I have ever met. Playing in front of our shots taking shots while we were shooting because of that we haven’t been back since.

Poor treatment
Unfortunately the staff is more concerned with you not having a “cooler” than how they treat you as a guest. I’m not talking about beer, just a power aid, energy drink and water. The water was in a reusable container so it was ok. I tried to explain the rule doesn’t make much sense because most golf bags have cooler pockets, the starter wasn’t having it and went and got a desk jockey to help with the removal of the my cooler bag. I feel bad that this course is hurting financially, to make such an effort to try and squeeze a few dollars out of their guests to such a degree that is not welcoming. Maybe telling me it is a non posted rule that we are now enforcing, next time please don’t bring your cooler, would have been better. I have been to this course with a cooler many times without a mention of it not being acceptable. I would suggest just bring drinks and snacks in your golf bag and a yeti full of ice and don’t spend a dime at this place as well as saving you the less than enjoyable harassment that I experienced. I do not plan on spending any of money here because of this, at least for the foreseeable future.

Great course- certainly one of the best in the midlands
Love cobblestone! The pro-shop staff is never overly friendly or attentive, which is a bummer, but the course doesn’t disappoint. Challenging but not crazy, and great greens.

Cobblestone Park is an excellent facility, golf course and overall experience.
The conditions were fantastic, the bunkers raked and the greens rollling a good speed.
It was a pleasure to return to this facility and put my golfing skills to a test..

Great course
We had a great round on a Wednesday. We came to Columbia as coastal evacuation victims from the approaching storm Dorian. The course layout is fantastic and greens in good shape. Tee boxes could use some attention. The practice range was closed for no apparent reason which was a huge disappointment. Staff was okay but could have been a bit more inviting and attentive on arrival. Overall good value and challenging course. We will definitely return here in the fall or spring.
