About
Set across 300 acres of lush Carolina Lowcountry, Hilton Head National Golf Club has earned its reputation as one of the region’s premier public courses.
A unique collaboration between golf legends Gary Player and Bobby Weed, the course offers two distinct nines that complement each other beautifully. Weed designed the front nine with larger, more dramatically contoured greens to contrast and balance Player’s strategically crafted back nine.
Among the most memorable holes is the challenging par-4 sixth — bordered along its entire right side by the course’s largest lake and protected by deep pot bunkers near the green. The back nine features several standout holes, including the long and demanding 16th, which ranks as the No. 1 handicap hole for women and No. 5 for men. And finishing strong, the par-4 eighteenth tests precision with a deep marsh running the length of the narrow fairway.
Together, these elements create a course that’s scenic, strategic, and rewarding for players of all skill levels.

Oh Yeah!
Wonderful to play this big, beautiful, dramatic hitters course on our second to last round in HHI. Greens we perfect, fairways lovely. A delight to play, I played the blues, my wife played the whites, we lost no balls and enjoyed low scores. Great round - thank you!

Beautiful day on the course
Greens were in excellent shape. Tee boxes were pretty thin. Ball washers did not have any water in a majority of them. Carts were excellent with GPS. Staff was really professional. Club house is beautiful. Any golf day is a good day!

Decent course
Decent course. $84 was an ok value for this time of year as prices are starting to peak. Greens in great shape, though on the slower side. Fairways great in spots, not great in others... inconsistent fairway conditions. Fun layout but nothing exiting or spectacular. Loved that the course isn't carved through housing/condos. Quite peaceful. Pace of play was good. Worth playing as a value round in the area. Wouldnt go out of my way to play again until later in the spring/summer when fairways have grown in a bit more.

HHNat
HHNat is an attractive off-island course, fairly straightforward and playable. Fairways, bunkers, and greens were well maintained and playable. Hard to loose a ball. Good value for the dollar.

We’ve played here many times over the past 10 years......in the months of March and November when we visit from the wintry north.

Ideal day and the greens are spectacular
Friendly staff; good practice facilities and grill room/bar. Thanks for the great Hot Deal!
Course is fair yet offers a challenge due to the great Weed-Player design. Fairways were ample and the greens were in fantastic condition for this time of year. They yielded to approach shots and rolled true.
The short par 4 number 6 was a great risk-reward hole. Just fun!
Overall, a great golf experience in Bluffton, just off HHI!

Love this part of the world, came in, place is immaculate, nice practice facilities, practice green a little wet, course was great, greens and fairways were like carpets, 3 hrs 50 minutes with not much waiting, great staff, good food, I will be back!

The course was beautiful.
Course is beautiful. There was less water then expected and it really doesn't come into play. It is pretty wide open. As for the conditions it was cart path only due to rain the day prior which makes it a little more difficult to enjoy the round and true slowed us down. There was a 2 some infont of us that was exptremely slow and slowed down the pace of play very much. The rangers was very nice, but I would have liked him to speed them us a little more as there is no way a 4 some should continually be waiting on a 2 some.
