Hilton Head National Golf Club

I had heard good things about Hilton head national so I wanted to give it a try, and it did not disappoint. I have played about 6 courses on and around the island and this was my favorite so far. The greens were in excellent shape. Great course layout and design all around. It played fair but it wasn't straight forward either. Good risk reward course. I look forward to playing it again.

Real good course just off the Hilton Head Island. Relatively speaking a bargain. Fair but challenging.

A little run-down and spartan. For the money, they could have included a couple tees and a towel in the cart. Overall, decent golf.

First time playing HH National and I will be back. Had a great morning of golf, lunch and replayed 9 more in the afternoon. Course has a lot of character and memorable holes. Although greens were excellent fairways were still fairly dormant and suffering from a heavy freeze the week before but still played softly with no hard pack as found at some other courses we played. Highly recommend for a fun day!

The greens were almost perfect for a cold March day. Have played 7 or 8 times over the last few years. The pro shop staff is typical of Hilton Head. Not real personable. They almost act like their doing you a favor allowing you to play the course. The cart guys were pretty friendly, as well as the bartender when we stopped for lunch. I don't go there to be friendly with the staff though, I go to play the course.

played here for the first time in 10+ years (they had 27 holes the last time I played here). nice collection of holes, fair, greens rolled nicely. sub 4 hour round. holes are tight in spots and lots of collection areas around greens (from which you can putt).

Greens were in excellent shape, with some interesting pin placements. As spring progresses hope there is more grass on the fairways.

This is my 6th round here this winter and of the 20+ rounds I have played the quality of course, staff, greens and pace of play has been the most consistent. It will be a real shame if this course is torn up in the years to come!

Very interesting course not difficult but challenging, it ha to be managed

Very nice course in good condition. Staff very friendly. Course is not overly unfair if you miss the fairway. Greens very fast with subdle breaks. Will definitely be back.

The whole experience was excellent. Best in the area with the exception of Harbour Town. All the staff were knowledgeable and service oriented. Course conditions were excellent for the time of year (early March). I would definitely recommend this course.

Started with a great overseeded range. The pace of play was good. Greens were great. The fairway were starting to grow in. It is a very good value in the Hilton Head area

My husband and I played here today - teed off at 9:30 and we were paired with another twosome. The pace of play was excellent, the course was in terrific shape and we had an overall great time. We would definitely recommend this course.

Beautiful course with enough challenge to be interesting but not overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Played March 2017 and was in great condition.

Course is in great condition considering the dry conditions in the area. Greens were near mint and receptive. Other courses I have played so far had fast greens, but extremely hard and not very receptive. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

Excellent course in the HHI area. Don't miss playing this course. It is in great shape and very challenging. Staff is friendly and pace of play was great. I hope they don't sell this course to developers as the local buzz is talking about. We play this track once or twice every trip to SC.

We were a threesome and all agreed this was the best course we had played in HHI. The pace was perfect, greens were excellent. The layout was very good but playable without stress. This was early March so the fairways were not optimal without much grass trowth. The staff was great.
