Cobblestone Park Golf Club - Black Course
About
Formerly known as the University Club, Cobblestone Park Golf Course may have changed names but it still offers one of the best courses in the Midlands. There are a total of 27 holes, which are divided into three distinct nines. The holes stretch across more than 240 acres of rolling hills. The Black nine is the longest of the three and naturally the most challenging as well. A variety of elevation changes come into play, ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course even features some of the highest points in Richland County, providing scenic views throughout your round. There are strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout and mature oaks and pines lining the fairways but the challenges are balanced by wide landing areas that are nice and inviting.

Nice coarse
Cobblestone is a nice course, the greens rolled true and were moderately fast. This is a popular course, and was fairly busy for a weekday. If going, try and go with a group of 3 or 4 to prevent lengthy delays between shots as players of all skills sets will be present.
PHENOMENAL
First time here, had to switch my plans due to weather on the coast. Was a great decision. Univ of SC women's team plays here. Awesome track, lots of elevation changes, well framed tee shots & great bunkering. Greens were crazy fast, so be prepared. Course was in perfect shape. Finishing hole on black course might be one of the best golf holes you ever play. Tee shot on #2 of garnet might be longest your ball is ever in the air!
good course
first time playing the course, facilities were good along with the course conditions. greens were firm and fast although on the small size. tough to read the break at times. very good experience, only negative was checking in for tee time, computer had to be rebooted and parking was far from the actual pro shop which is on the bottom floor of the clubhouse on the backside.
Great Course!
Outstanding setup! Love the course and will be playing again. Just a quick, easy drive from the Charlotte area. Beautiful setting!!!
Great course for great price
This course was beautiful and in great shape with plenty of undulating greens and tough shots that make you think before you plan your shot. This course is great
excellent course
Thoroughly enjoyed this course. Wide fairways with a lot of change in elevation. Greens are fast and true.
This course has a great layout
Great layout. Good conditions but greens a bit fast for my liking.
Classic Experience
You can tell this used to be a private club when you arrive through a security gate. This course has many cool holes. We played the garnet/gold nines. The greens are very quick and in great condition. Smallish greens, guarded by Augusta-like bunkers. Some holes have cool sandy waste areas like the famous Pine Valley. Good variety of holes--just a cool overall design. I don't think it is quite my favorite layout in Columbia, but definitely near the top. Everything was in great condition. Their practice facilities and clubhouse are awesome. If you want to have a really nice round, Cobblestone is the place.

Great golf course and community. I recommend the course to all player levels, it's really fun to play.
Well maintained....
Have played this course twice and it has yet to disappoint. Fairways and greens are both well maintained. The course offers many challenges in the way of fairway and green side bunker, as well as water hazards on quite a few holes. Very scenic course as well.
excellent condition
This course is one of the best courses in the Columbia/Blythewood area.. lots of challenge, but if you hit a straight ball you can score well. in great condition
An afternoon at Cobblestone Park
I play on alot of courses and this is absolutely the best deal in Columbia. Great course and very reasonably priced. Shot my best score there in 6 years on that day. Having 3 9 hole courses allowed us to play on the slower course when traffic was heavy. There was a communication gap between Golfnow and the front desk, but was easily cleared up with a copy of my receipt. Clubhouse has recently been completed and looks very nice, but we didn't take the time to visit this occasion.
This course is a must play
Used my Golfnow rewards for this course for two. Availability of the hot deal tee time was perfect. Course was well maintained and friendliness of staff was excellent. Being it was my 1st time playing the course, took a few holes to adjust up a club, sometimes two, on approach shots due to the elevations. Greens rolled true and somewhat fast. Some greens had divots that weren't repaired, but took care of them if they were on my line, or in the vicinity. Had to get a feel of the roll. The only issue I had was during our last four holes, after catching a group of four on 15, the pace of play drastically diminished. The group was teeing up multiple ball, having conversations prior to, and after teeing up, and having discussions on the greens. The etiquette was something to be questioned. I would definite play again, and recommend this course to play to anyone.

August @ Cobblestone
The course was in fabulous condition & the staff was super friendly. Tony rocks! I had a great time and plan a return trip with the help of Golf Now.
NICE!
Had a fantastic time and the course was in great shape.
This course is very well taken care of.
Really enjoy playing at this course. Fairway and greens are always great condition. Looking foward to play it again.
Great course
Great course in excellent shape. The layout is challenging requiring one to weigh risk/reward. Course design utilizes the elevation and water beautifully. Fairways, greens, bunkers were in great shape. Detailed yardage is on numerous locations. Our round was very slow due to two large groups. Construction on a new clubhouse promises to make it even nicer.
Best in columbia
Great course! Perfect conditions. I felt like I was a member at a top notch course and felt like I played better than normal. Highly recommend this course
Sorry, I meant #3 on garnet...play the champs tee & you'll see what I mean!
