The mountains are close enough to touch at this Arthur Hills design. Heritage Palms measures 6,698 yards from the back tees.
Four lakes are featured on the course, which is very green for a desert design. Hills contrast the fairways against the mountains and the desert in the distance, but this is very much a resort type course.
The par 3s are particularly inventive. This isn't one of Hills' tougher courses. It offers average hackers the chance to have a largely anxiety-free round. As long as they don't get too carried away with club selection.
There are a number of dogleg holes that force you to think before firing away. Just hitting as far as you can is an easy path to trouble. It's the shot after the shot you're hitting that must be thought of.

This is a special place
The staff is incredibly nice! We enjoyed a fantastic round on a Sunday morning and had a fabulous Buffay when we finished. Love this place!
Always a treat
Having played here during high season and low, before and after the covid closure, I can tell you that the course right now will not disappoint. While not in prime high-season shape, it’s in really good shape for summer. The greens are running slower than normal and are spotty in places, 8-8.5 I’d guess, but having played some of the best here in the desert, t’s one of the best conditioned courses in town right now, at least in the public realm. The shoo and outside staff are great and beyond friendly. Play here if you can!
course was being "plugged" this particular day and only had 9 holes open....the pro Gordon gave me the courtesy of a phone call prior to the round to inform me...much appreciated!!
Greens need so help!
Everything was excellent except the condition on the greens the most important thing.
Extremely bumpy wow!
Greens are Terrible
Everything was nice at the course before we teed off. Staff were great, practice/warm up facilities were excellent. Loved the course...layout was good and very playable for all skill levels. The greens we just plain bad...lots of bare spots...they look good because they sand them and spray them green, but they are bumpy and impossible to play. I don't mind that so much, but I can't understand why the course and Golf Now cant disclose that fact before you book. 2 stars for the course and 1 star for Golf Now :(
Every green was bad. Not sure what this issue is, but I recommend you call the course to check the conditions before you book. Not worth even a discounted rate when there are so many nice courses in the area.
Had a great first round here. Staff was beyond nice. Nice layout. Course was in great condition other than the greens which were very bumpy and patchy. Had a good time and would come back, but would call first to make sure greens are ok
A Perfect Golf Day in March 2020
We arrived 45 minutes prior to our t time. We were warmly received by the pro shop and our bags were hustled off to our cart. 25 minute warm up on the range and some putting on immaculate putting Practice green. Had a great round as the course was in perfect conditions despite the previous days heavy rain.

Great course, and even better staff and members.
I played here on the annual Marine Day, they hosted about 50 active duty servicemen. They treated us all like kings. Very kind men and women that played or volunteered throughout the course. The course was immaculate! Best course I have ever played!
Best Dessert round yet
I was nervous this round wouldn’t be as nice as others I’ve played because of how affordable it was. But this was one of the top 3 rounds of golf I’ve played in the Coachella Valley regardless of price. Can’t wait to play it again!
Great Course
This course and the golf staff are great! The bar and restaurant staff are another story. Our waiter was friendly but much of the other bar and restaurant staff was not. Overall we go for golf and it’s great.
