The mountains are close enough to touch at this Arthur Hills design. Heritage Palms measures 6,698 yards from the back tees.
Four lakes are featured on the course, which is very green for a desert design. Hills contrast the fairways against the mountains and the desert in the distance, but this is very much a resort type course.
The par 3s are particularly inventive. This isn't one of Hills' tougher courses. It offers average hackers the chance to have a largely anxiety-free round. As long as they don't get too carried away with club selection.
There are a number of dogleg holes that force you to think before firing away. Just hitting as far as you can is an easy path to trouble. It's the shot after the shot you're hitting that must be thought of.

Slow play
Slow play. Ranger drove by us said he would talk to the group in front of us. Well…….he did nothing. All he had to do was tell the group that they need to pick up the pace. There was actually one lady that carried her golf bag from the cart to the green. At least is was only when chipping and putting.
All around great!
First time playing heritage palms and would go back tmrw! Great course and outstanding conditions with fast greens beautiful practice facility! Only negative is restaurant closed at 1:20 pm and nothing to eat anywhere don’t understand that?
The course has a beautiful lay out and is in excellent condition!
We will definitely golf here again when we are in the area. Next year!
Pristine condition
Not a blade of grass out of place and a very playable course.
More staff needed
They had a gaggle of 4somes book a block of time which ran WAY over anticipated/booked tee times. My tee time was 11:52 and I didn’t tee off until 12:35. There is no starter, no marshal, and apparently they are going through their 3rd GM. Great course, great layout, great value…. The mids at the desk apologized and agreed if we didn’t finish before dark they would reimburse us.
It’s a great course but it really needs some adult supervision before things really go sideways.

Excellent condition . Green is smooth and fast.
One of the best course in the desert . I highly recommended this course if you visited the desert .
Course would not honour GN deal
First time this has happened to me where the course would not honour the deal I got on GolfNow. The cost of my reservation for 2 was $130. The course told us that GN made a mistake and I had to pay $185. Reached out to GN for a refund but have not heard back.
Great overall conditions
Pace of play slightly slow but could be attributed to 90 degree cart path only
CPO - CART PATH ONLY / NO BUFFET
This course is awesome!! The conditions are some of the best in my opinion in the desert area. We can accept that it was cart path only but as soon as we went to check in, the guy in the pro shop was already bothered by us and all others in line because he said "Golf Now" had messed up on the price to play and instead of only paying $65.00 ,,, It should have been $165.00... so he was very rude, short and did nothing to make us feel welcomed. The buffet was taken away from us unless if we wished to pay an additional $25.00.... We took it as it was and just agreed to pay the $65.00 because the course was looking INCREDIBE!! We were not worried about the buffet as much...... We still had a great day, and like i already said and I cannot emphasize this enough, the course was in the best shape i have ever seen it in!! $65.00 is a steal!!!
Great course, great people
Course was in excellent condition given this was the second day it was open. Greens were a little slow. Still waiting ti hear back from GolfNow as the course charged me $65 more than the price I was quoted by GolfNow.
A great value!
This is a semi-private course. I played it the second day it opened for the season. It was cart path only as the grass needed to grow in but the course was impeccable. It's not the world's most challenging course but it was not necessarily easy either. The staff were all excellent. I was charged a very low rate. I am thinking it was a mistake as I have paid double the rate to play less worthy courses in the Coachella Valley.
