The mountains are close enough to touch at this Arthur Hills design. Heritage Palms measures 6,698 yards from the back tees.
Four lakes are featured on the course, which is very green for a desert design. Hills contrast the fairways against the mountains and the desert in the distance, but this is very much a resort type course.
The par 3s are particularly inventive. This isn't one of Hills' tougher courses. It offers average hackers the chance to have a largely anxiety-free round. As long as they don't get too carried away with club selection.
There are a number of dogleg holes that force you to think before firing away. Just hitting as far as you can is an easy path to trouble. It's the shot after the shot you're hitting that must be thought of.

Excellent course
Very nice course overall. Greens are very fast & the staff very friendly. Very hot the day we played but still had a great round.
Shotgun Start?
Didn't realize this was going to be a shotgun start when I booked. Pace of play was not good. It took us 5 hours. Very easy course. Tee boxes and fairways nice but greens were beat up. Mostly dirt. No drink carts no food carts. Just vending machines which they call snack bars. By the time we were finished didn't want to stay to try the grill. Course was pretty.
10 handicapper
If u want to improve your putting this is the fastest course around!!!! The fairways you must hit in order to have a Chance at birdies. In all great course!!!!!! Thank you to the staff and pleasant experience!
Nice people.
My wife and I were paired with a member and his buddy. We try to play it every year. Good variety. The tough par threes may explain the 4 1/2 hours to play. Tough greens and could be smoother. A nice track and fun to play.
Nice day of golf
We played on a Sunday when the brunch buffet was offered prior to play. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The course was lush and green, beautifully kept. The rough was not terribly punitive which helped pace of play. The greens were in excellent conditon and running very fast, but once you adjusted to them, they were fair. Nothing "tricked up", no drama, just "what you see is what you get" golf. I would recommend Heritage Palms anytime!
After the rainstorm
Played in the afternoon shotgun. Half an hour late starting because of rain the previous evening. There was still some casual water from rainstorm. Other than that course was well kept.Speed of greens was excellent. Played in 4 hours 12 minutes, so there e was no problem completing round. Overall enjoyable round. Long travels between some holes bye adequately signed.
A must play!
From arrival to the end of our round the staff were excellent and informative. As non members we were given an escort to ours starting hole. The course is in fantastic shape and the greens fast. Amazingly their are no brown patches to be seen anywhere. The maintenance staff does a great job laying out the course for carts and keeping it in top shape. It's open enough with houses lining most fairways and large greens. A great day in spite of rare rain.
What's with the greens?
Beautiful facility. Great layout, great views, nice fairways. I am a single digit player. The greens were far too hard, and, as a result, far too fast. Greens were 'Supposedly' 11 on the stemp. I play a ProV1 and couldn't stop a sand wedge. Finding your ball mark was virtually impossible. Turn on the water! I would play it again.
Great Surprise
Honestly , for the price and the area we werent expecting much.We had spent a week paying twice the price .
What a nice surprise. Starting with friendly staff, a decent range and putting green and an opportunity to get out a little early , we were hopeful we might actually get most of the course played.
We got all 18 in on what was obviously a busy day, pace of play was great and the course in great condtion and interesting and challenging .
Nice Course
Not many downsides! Fairways and layout, great. Germs the weakest part, but not bad. I'd play it again if I had the opportunity!

The homeowners own this course,maybe you played at a time when they punched the greens but our greens are in excellent condition and pro fast. We play in under 4 hours most days of the week-perhaps weekend with outside players are slower. We rarely use beverage or drink carts during play unless their is a tournament. Our players are out there to play golf and afterwards are clubhouse has a great grill room and outside patio.
