Chimera Golf Club

I've been living in Vegas for 6 years now and never played this course. I told my buddies I regularly golf with that we have to play this course. On Tuesday it's 49 dollars. We are all seniors and that price is perfect for us.

Booked our round to have 4 hours of daylight remaining on a Thursday afternoon at 1:00. Was slow getting off first tee and seemed to be waiting 5-10 minutes on every tee box before hitting and waiting for every green to clean. After 11 holes, we had to jump 5 holes and played the last 2 in near dark and was still over 4 1/2 hours. Very unhappy about skipping roughly a 3rd of the total course. Either they need Marshals who are not useless to move thing along or should refund green fees percentages for not being about to finish. Will not return nor would I recommend to anyone.

so much fun to play. i came to chimera for the first time last november, and when i found myself back in vegas this year, it was the first place i booked to play for a second time. the staff is amazing and it's a really great course.

This is a great course, with a great layout. It was challenging, but not too challenging. Great greens and friendly staff.

I found the course to be in great condition. The greens were in good shape tee boxes too. Natural Beauty surrounds the course and permeates throughout the holes. The two Cart girls were fantastic. They helped us with every request we had. We tried to get out a little early because we had to catch flights later that day, and they went out of their way to find us carts and get us out as quickly as possible. Food was great inside the restaurant. Starter was OK. Could’ve been a little nicer when we teed off but when we saw him later, he was in a much better mood.

Enjoyed our round here but was annoyed as the GPS system on our cart was down and there were no other carts to switch out for....totally unacceptable. The guy who drove out to see what was up said that this cart has been giving them problems so they knew it was having issues.

There were several holes where you can drive into the group in front of you and not realize it. I hated that, it happened once in our round but could have happened 2 or 3 other times.

Overall, we loved it and would come back.

i had a great day at chimera. i played there at this time last year and was happy to come back and play again. great staff and a really nice course

Course parking was a bit overwhelming but with a tournament and being a Saturday we were able to overcome the inconvenience...We will play here again the gentleman at the starter shack did a great job!

Followed tournament and no carts available so late by one hour. Management should know tournaments always slow and not book for one hour extra

Finding a course on a Friday that did not cost a ridiculous amount is challenging in Las Vegas. Chimera was among the cheaper options for me. It is a long way off the strip, so you are looking at two expensive Uber rides adding to the overall cost. They do have a decent restaurant/bar area where you can gamble/drink while you wait. Course is pretty nice. Not amazing, not awful.

Tee time was 1:30 but due to tournament in morning time was delayed and shortage of carts. 3 minute interval between tee times made for slow pace. Starter was very helpful. Overall was alright for price paid on golf now.

Srrived at the course and checked in on time. They didn’t have any carts so we had to wait until one was returned. Started late because the 5 some ahead of us were waiting for the 5th player to show up. After about 3 holes we noticed the group ahead at the beer cart loading up. This continued to occur every 2 holes or so. Turned out their round snd all beverages were being comped by the owner of the course. After about 13 holes they were clearly drunk and could barely hit the ball. Slow play continued and we were never able to finish the game due to darkness. No Marshall ever came around and the pace of play was a joke. Will never play Chimera again.

We had a 2pm tee time. They allowed a 5 some in front of us. They slowed everyone down. To make it worse.... the 2 cart girls (dressed in Haloween clothes) stood there and spoke to this big group 2 slow them down even more. We called the club house and a VERY young kid tried to help. Never a good idea for a teenager to be forced to deal with drunks !!!!

The cart girl tried to apologize to me and give me a free drink. what? You ruined my 100.00 round and you think 1 drink will make it better? I asked for a manager to call me, but that didn't happen.

WASTE OF STAFF AND MANAGEMENT.

Very nice course in very good condition.Nice layout.Have a good number of tees to match your skill level.Staff was great.

This course has the potential for being really good however, the mismanagement of the course and the overtly eagerness to take financial advantage of unsuspecting players is sickening!! The course is green but that is most positive thing I can say about it. The greens at no longer fungus ridden but the lack of a quality greens keeper is evidenced by their shaggy length and slowness. The bunkers are mostly hardpan and unplayable! Tee times are crammed together which results in a round that took over 5 HOURS!!! Top it all off with a cost of $85 and you get STAY AWAY!!! Too many courses in the Las Vegas valley that are better in every way! Come on Chimera, you can do better!!!
