This Ted Robinson Jr design just minutes away from The Strip measures 6,757 yards from the tips and features 68 white-sand bunkers and enough water hazards to make you wish you brought your beach towel.
Chimera Golf Club will test the skills of low handicappers, but four sets of tees make it accessible to novice golfers. Overall, Chimera Golf Club is an enjoyable, entertaining round of golf in a truly beautiful setting.
Clubhouse:Chimera Golf Club’s centerpiece is a spacious 31,000 square foot Old World Tuscan Village which features a golf retail store, a pub and fine dining restaurant as well as banquet and meeting facilities. Nice Resort Style Course
With exception of the greens which were in rough shape, the course was in nice condition. Not sure what the issue is w the greens but hopefully this will be resolved soon. Pace of play was pretty good until the last 3-4 holes. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Greens were rough
I mean rough lol. Beautiful day tho and the overall course is nice. Great views, clean fairways and tee boxes. But the greens were atrocious.

Booked last minute as a single on a Sunday afternoon. I appreciated how easy it was to get a tee time. Friendly staff. Giving the place 1 extra bonus because the restaurant is actually pretty great.
I'm deducting stars because:
1) The layout isn't very interesting. I maybe used 4 or 5 clubs the entire time. It didn't force any decisions or challenge me as a 30 Handicap golfer.
2) There are no water jugs along the course!!! It was 99 degrees in the desert, and they don't give you water?!
Ultimately, I think there's better courses in Vegas for the money that I would play again before Chimera.
Conciliation points for all the bunnies and an honest-to-God roadrunner on the course!!

Greens are the worst I’ve ever seen.
I told a friend that I was golfing here and he said to let him know the conditions of the greens because a few years ago they were horrible. I couldn’t believe what I saw. The greens looked like a map. The ball just changes direction on every shot. Absolutely horrible!

Unplayable Greens
No one warned us that the greens were destroyed. Portions are hard surface with large crevices. Approach shots landing on the hard part can't hold the green. The ball goes airborne when putting and bounces all over. I can't believe they charged tourists $129 to play here. The cart guys asked how our round was and actually laughed at us when we told them the greens to enjoy playing.
One good thing about it that I noticed...the geese no longer crap all over the greens since there is nothing on them to eat anymore.

Greens have severe fungus beware!
We booked a tee time expecting a great course conditions. To our surprise when we arrived we were told the green have a major fungus problem. They did say the back nine werent effected, total lie they were also horrible. Instead of paying 74.00 they gave us a discount of 65.00 per person. I feel they ripped me off, wish I would have played somewhere else. Very disappointed they mislead us saying the back nine was in good shape it wasn't.

Front Green
The first 9 hole greens in the front was in bad shape! It makes the putting hard and once you putt, your ball will hit some bumps… The bunkers was hard and need some works! The fairways was in good shape… All staff was friendly!

Putting a big problem!
Temporary green for the 5th hole…probably the best condition of all them. We’ve played here before so we hope the condition of all the other greens is just a onetime, temporary issue. The have golfers tee off on #10 on Tuesdays and Thursdays this season.

Course is going downhill
I don't typically write reviews, but this last round here still has be really upset. We had an 8:30am tee time and didn't tee off until almost 9am, then still had to wait 15 minutes before we could tee off on #2. I don't think we hit a tee box that didn't require a wait until halfway through the back 9. The tee times are so packed at this course that every time I go there now it's guaranteed to be a 5+ hour round.
On top of that, the greens are in horrible shape. I think I heard that they have a fungus growing on them (?), but it made them impossible to read and play. This appears to be a long standing problem as it was an issue back in April when I played the course as well.
Don't get me wrong - I've played my fair share of rounds on some beat up courses. Those courses didn't charge me $85 (as a resident) to play them, though. This used to be one of my favorite courses in town, but I think this will be my last visit. It's just not fun to play any longer.

Dissatisfied
Greens are in horrendous shape,if I knew they were that bad I wouldn’t have drove across town.The pro shop should have told people something was eating their greens. $65 was way out of line for the state the greens are in. Hopefully they get it under control,but I would not recommend playing till they do.
