On your next Las Vegas golf trip, make sure to put Chimera Golf Club at the top of the list of "must plays." Opened in July 2003, Chimera Golf Club (previously known as Tuscany Golf Club) is one of the newer golf courses in Las Vegas.
This Ted Robinson Jr design just minutes away from The Strip measures 6,757 yards from the tips and features 68 white-sand bunkers and enough water hazards to make you wish you brought your beach towel.
Chimera Golf Club will test the skills of low handicappers, but four sets of tees make it accessible to novice golfers. Overall, Chimera Golf Club is an enjoyable, entertaining round of golf in a truly beautiful setting.
Clubhouse:Chimera Golf Club’s centerpiece is a spacious 31,000 square foot Old World Tuscan Village which features a golf retail store, a pub and fine dining restaurant as well as banquet and meeting facilities. Bad course conditions and poor staff
I asked about the range balls when I arrived and no one told me that I would need to get them from the staff that wasn’t even around to ask questions. Also the green and tee boxes are in horrible condition, as well as all the bunkers being rock hard. Not my favorite course anymore, this place used to be fantastic.

Course conditions
The greens and tee boxes are in bad shape. Most of the greens are only dirt in some spots. Also every bunker I was in was rock hard. This place needs a little love from a good greens keeper.

Great fairways
I haven’t played at many courses here in Vegas. But of all of them, this course had the best fairways and rough by far. It made playing extremely fun. The greens definitely have seen better days and are a bit patchy. But overall it didn’t really affect anything. Maybe 2 putts that had weird movement due to the green quality. But the course was fun and challenging but not hard. So far this is my favorite place to play and the local resident rate is great. This definitely gives you the bang for your buck. I will definitely be back.

Lost the Greens
Fungus took over greens and didn’t catch in time. Greens are the worst I’ve seen all year. Will take quite a few months to return. Love this course layout and was disappointed that nobody said anything. Low on water and dirt piles everywhere. Putting in a new clubhouse soon. Pass for now. Too many other courses in better shape.

Great course, just needs a little bit more TLC
This was the fourth time playing this golf course. Being a non-resident (visiting from CA), I usually pay a non-resident green fee - which, normally is double the normal rate a local will pay. Fortunately, I was able to find a "hot deal" on Golfnow and paid the resident rate this time around. First, the positives...I really like this golf course. The general layout, the difficulty of it, the staff, the fairways, etc. were all great. I would consider this one of my "go to" courses whenever I visit the Vegas area. But I don't know if it's due to the unusual weather this year or negligence, but the greens are in terrible shape. It seems like they are overtaken by some fungus at the moment so putting isn't pure. Also, the bunkers are pretty hard and dried out (not that much sand). Also, the driving range...every stall is pretty beat up. No grass to hit off of but just divots and dirt. But what's odd is that despite the poor conditions just mentioned the tee boxes and fairways are in excellent condition. If I had to pay full non-resident price to play this course again, I think I'd pass and wait until the greens get better and if they can improve the bunkers. This is the primary reason for the "3" rating this time around. When I played this course the first time a few years back, I gave it a 4/5. The course just needs a bit more TLC that's all, and once it does that rating will shoot up again. Lastly, one more thing...I don't know how far they space out tee times, but almost every round I've played here it will exceed 4.5 hours. The general play here is slow. But despite of that, because I do enjoy the course layout and staff friendliness, I'd recommend playing it at least once. Give it a try then you can decide for yourself if the pros outweigh the cons.

Memorial day
Course was in excellent conditions except for the greens and bunkers. Bunkers were either mud, a beach, or concrete. Greens have new grass that’s very patch and bumpy for putting. Fairways and rough were immaculate.

Very Nice - but
This course is well maintained. Holes are picturesque. Clean bathrooms. Carts are quick and comfortable. Fairways are lush. However, the Greens are not in good shape. I think they are Poana? and were very uneven. Most Fairways are lined with homes and tight.

The greens had a disease
The greens had a disease and were rotted out/cracked. Some played like concrete. Not worth the tee time rate.

Painted Greens
Greens were horrible. Painted dirt on front, back had less green paint. Starter got us out 1/2 hour early. Pace of play good, 4 hour round. Guy at front desk staring at his phone Looks up at me ask me my tee time and then says the guys in the red shirt will get you your cart and range balls went back to his phone. Nice track but won't go back. Too many choices in LV to play on vacation
