On your next Las Vegas golf trip, make sure to put Chimera Golf Club at the top of the list of "must plays." Opened in July 2003, Chimera Golf Club (previously known as Tuscany Golf Club) is one of the newer golf courses in Las Vegas.
This Ted Robinson Jr design just minutes away from The Strip measures 6,757 yards from the tips and features 68 white-sand bunkers and enough water hazards to make you wish you brought your beach towel.
Chimera Golf Club will test the skills of low handicappers, but four sets of tees make it accessible to novice golfers. Overall, Chimera Golf Club is an enjoyable, entertaining round of golf in a truly beautiful setting.
Clubhouse:Chimera Golf Club’s centerpiece is a spacious 31,000 square foot Old World Tuscan Village which features a golf retail store, a pub and fine dining restaurant as well as banquet and meeting facilities. Good Vegas Course
Enjoyed the round here. Course design is good, conditions are quite good for the time of year. Only real complaint is that the greens could have been better, but that's not easy at that time of year. Bunkers were also pretty low on sand.

Pace play restaurant
Chimara is a gem I love the place The money charged for the value was phenomenal however the pace of play was very slow with real no ranger supervision to keep people moving along Also had a problem in the restaurant getting food in a timely fashion although they did refund my money and were very polite about it overall I will always play Chimera when I visit Vegas

Late and slow
They continue to scheduled tee times too close together. Second time I've played here and both times they were 30+ minutes behind schedule by 9:30am.
Which leads directly to 5 hour rounds of slow painful golf. Course layout is good and condition ok.
Would not go back again.

Stay away
If you want a terrible day and the longest golf outing ever, choose Chimera They overbook with too many foursomes crammed in, and then they have no marshall to speed up play. Played behind a member foursome who believed they owned the course so felt they could play as slow as possible. What we hoped would be a great day, turned into one of the worst. If they let is play for free, I would turn them down. STAY AWAY

Course conditions were great with the exception of greens running much slower than I am used to. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We experienced a couple power cart issues. It seemed like the course ran out of power carts by 11:30AM. One of the power carts for the group ahead broke and they eventually just walked the remainder of the round. The GPS on our cart gave out on the 15th hole, which was inconvenient but near the end of the round.
The main downfall was the pace of play. Right out of the gate we were behind schedule by 20 minutes and finished the round in a little over 5 hours.

Chimera Review
Purchased some snacks at bar and my change was .50 cents. The lady behind the bar gave me a quarter and a washer which I noticed when I reached for a ball marker. My golf cart would not move in middle of first hole fairway. Had to have an employee bring me another one. That cart stopped running at the 16th hole. After about 15 minutes my playing partner pushed it with his cart and after a few yards it finally moved on its own power. You guys need to get it together and work out the bugs of your GPS system before putting those carts out on the course. Ruined the day.

The greens are trash

Beautiful Course
We have played this course at least 4 times when we are in Vegas. Only negative mark is they are always busy. This time we got delayed because of a last minute tourney, then we were stuck in the middle, which delayed us more because of pace of play. We try to catch the Hot Deals but because of pace of play, we finished 18 holes 2 out of the 4 times we played.

Decent course with friendly staff
Overall I’m pleased with my experience at Chimera. The staff was friendly and the range was very nice. I had a tee time at 1:07 and couldn’t finish because it was too dark outside, and the 18th hole got backed up. The pace of play could’ve been better, but it wasn’t miserable either at about 4 1/2 hours. The layout was good, but nothing memorable in my honest opinion. I would go back, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for Vegas
