The Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables sits next to the beautiful hotel, an architectural masterpiece that was modeled after the Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain. Donald Ross designed the course in 1925 and the traditional layout has retained all of its original character. The golf course weaves through a series of canals that used to carry guests along in gondolas. The canals run alongside the lush fairways while towering banyan trees frame the elevated greens. Offering views of the historic hotel from nearly every hole, there are carts available but the golf course is worth the walk. The layout is popular not only for its historic scenery and verdant setting, but also for its playability. Over the years the Biltmore has been host to a number of professional golfers and celebrities ranging from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods.

Speedy greens
The best thing about this course is it’s layout and fast greens. Unfortunately, the course gets a tremendous amount of play which has compromised the condition of the tee boxes and fairways. Rangers are needed to move slow players along.

Awesome course. Pay for parking?
Awesome course. However if I pay $100 for a round of golf, I don’t expect to pay $17 for range balls and $20 for parking. Person at pro shop said the parking fee is new and was put in place this year by the city. I find that hard to believe since it’s on private property.

Beautiful course, fabulous layout.
This is a must play course, beautiful layout with fantastic greens which play fast and tricky to read. Normal prices are high but if you get a good deal don’t miss it.
