Consett & District Golf Club

Really nice course and in very good condition even after a lot of rain recently, although the weather was great when I played. The overall layout is quite compact but really well laid out. Overall a great course that offers challenges and good value for money. Well worth a visit!

Consett golf course have some lush views over looking the derwent Valley. You get the odd wild deer running the course what is nice to see.

The course has some great par 3 holes.

I love this golf course, it is beautifully laid out,vand the surrounding views are stunning. This was my first full round of golf in over 20 years, and at the age of 65 found some of the hills daunting. But overall it was great. Very friendly barmaid, and excellent facilities.

Really good course , greens very well kept fast and challenging really good value for money can't wait to book here again

Only rated a 4 for conditions as was expected with rain we have had but other then that it would have been a 5, fantastic and also enquired about doing our society there in June

Love this course (as its fairly easy to play),played on a Golfnow booking,was paired with 3 young men which were great lads,had good laugh n played well all way round,until i get to the 12th goes horribly wrong on my legs and i start puffing n panting and realis3 im not that fit,but i do love this course and cant wait to get back when the ground firms up a little,(obv all the rain aint helped)

Challenging course in very good condition and with some excellent views out over the North Pennines. Most fairways are inclined either right or left with associated run off and the occasional cruel bounce due to hard ground. The greens were in very good shape for our round but getting approach shots, chips and some puts to stop on the putting surface is difficult. Don’t let the first three holes lull you into a false sense of security – this isn’t an easy course – there are some very difficult tee & approach shots and the slog back up the hill from hole 14 is a bit of an endurance test. Note for visitors: the roads into the course car park are heavily pot holed in places and the visitors car park is on the side of a grassed hill – the state of the roads lets the club down a bit and could do with some attention – if your car is on low profile tyres take care.

Course us fantastic to look at and play even when you have a shocker. A propper workout with all the hills. Only annoying thing was someone before us didnt repair their putch marks so we did. Bar staff and food was first class
