Whickham Golf Club - Crombie Course

One of my favourite golf courses in the north east. in fantastic condition, challenging and some views to die for. once the days golf is over you can enjoy a lovely pint with views looking over the rolling hills and beauty of the 18th.

if only the golf skills matched the beauty of the course.

Course was in good condition even though it’s been very dry in the uk recently, the course layout was interesting and scenic and the staff were spot on with us and very engaging so overall only have good things to say about whickham golf club

Course in great condition after a long dry spell. Greens ran very well, members friendly. 18th is great if you catch a good drive you can have 75-100yds of a 400yard hole left unless you are in the culvert.

2nd time playing here and the course was in great condition, greens were rapid and the fairways were immaculate, because of the heat we struggled with certain parts of the course but I'd never let that put people off, it's a great course that I'd definitely come back too

Played the course for only my 2nd time and both times the course was in excellent condition, the fairways were tidy and the greens were slick.

There's a good variety of holes to test you

For only £30 you get a beautiful layout, wonderful raking tee shot/approaches into very well manicured greens. Would highly recommend!

Greens great, very quick, course in general really good condition, good walk with some excellent views of the valley

Course was in great nick. I really like how every hole is different and has different challenges. Weather was perfect and clubhouse is spot on. Only problem was the 4 older gents in front slowing everyone down. We had a backlog of players. They eventually let us through, when something was said. Just cos they were playing in a comp, doesn’t mean it should take an hour to play 3 holes.

First time playing here - course was in great condition. Slow play at times due to competitions. Tight fairways and a lot of dog leg holes. The greens are in great shape and very quick. Shame the club house isn’t open earlier for a bite to eat on a Sunday.

After reading many good reviews before booking I was looking forward to seeing what the fuss was about. Course is in excellent condition, greens the best I’ve played on, a lot of tricky holes with dog legs and tight fairways so it was very challenging. Shoutout to the two members who I played the last two holes with as I caught them up, very informative on shots to take and were up for a good chat which is always a good sign when trying a new course, will be back sooner rather than later.

Nice course Lots of little quirks. Not the easiest of walks very undulating but very enjoyable and great value
