About
The Navy Golf Course Seal Beach is a 27-hole facility that includes the championship Destroyer Course and the nine-hole executive Cruiser Course. The 6,780-yard Destroyer Course presents a challenge even for low handicappers with a slew of hazards coming into play throughout. The small greens have challenging slopes ranging from subtle breaks to dramatic drop-offs. To make them even tougher, you'll find strategically placed bunkers lurking along the edges. The tricky doglegs, which are mostly par 4s, will force you to think carefully about your club selection, and to top it all off, water makes an appearance on almost every hole. It's a long golf course that feels even longer due to the rolling terrain, but it is more forgiving than it seems with long, wide fairways that won't penalize you for being slightly errant.

Enjoyed 18!
There is much to appreciate with this course, and just a small amount of minor issues that dragged on my play. The course was in very good shape other than the recent aeration on the greens. The fairways could have been manicured a little better as the tracks ran slow. But overall it was a very good experience.
Punched greens and fairways
I have one remark.
They didn’t tell me that the greens and fairways were pinched and in a very bad condition to play. If I knew that I was not going to play.
On another note, the course is great.

Hitting up on Par 3's
Pace of play was good, except on the Par 3 holes. When did waving up the next group on Par 3' holes stop. This helps keep the play moving.
Challenge course for putting
The course is nice shape and fun, however, green is not easy.
Challenging Greens
Course is what might expect for the money, nothing really bad nor really exciting. Decent distances and a bit unusual with front par 37 and back 35. Nice to have gps on carts. Greens large and undulating, two putt not a certainty. Some reason all the par 3s really slowed down play, usually three groups on each. Have had lots of rain and many soft areas. Overalll hats off to the maintenance staff, course was in good shape and there are just some places they can’t get a mower.
