About
The Navy Golf Course Seal Beach is a 27-hole facility that includes the championship Destroyer Course and the nine-hole executive Cruiser Course. The 6,780-yard Destroyer Course presents a challenge even for low handicappers with a slew of hazards coming into play throughout. The small greens have challenging slopes ranging from subtle breaks to dramatic drop-offs. To make them even tougher, you'll find strategically placed bunkers lurking along the edges. The tricky doglegs, which are mostly par 4s, will force you to think carefully about your club selection, and to top it all off, water makes an appearance on almost every hole. It's a long golf course that feels even longer due to the rolling terrain, but it is more forgiving than it seems with long, wide fairways that won't penalize you for being slightly errant.

Need Marshall On Course
A 5.5 hour round is pretty ridiculous. It could have been much faster if Marshall would enforce fast pace play.

Course in good shape
Haven’t played here in awhile, the course was in good shape. The ocean breeze is really the only defense for this course otherwise it is wide open and pretty straightforward.

Perfect conditions
Had a 3:36pm Monday tee time and finished in about 4hrs15min. Conditions were perfect, fairways and greens consistent all around. Would love to play again.

Best course conditions ever
The course was in stellar condition. I have played here since it went public. Usually this course is good to very good, but yesterday it was perfect. The cut off the grass was excellent and the fairways and the greens were true.

Pace was horrible. No Marshall enforcing
The course has improved drastically since their greens were infected. Lakes have been mostly filled and course was near back to what it was prior to their downfall. PACE WAS COMPLETE TRASH! Finished 7 holes in 2.5 hours. Not a marshall in sight. Track is one of my favorites but so disappointed with this experience. Left after 13 as it increasingly frustrating.

Thought it would be more packed
Went on Father’s Day and assumed it would be swarmed but it was very mellow. One of the only rounds I’ve played on a public course where I didn’t have to wait constantly on the party ahead of us. Guys we played with had also never played the course before but he said he heard it’s usually packed, which makes sense, it’s a very nice and well maintained course. Also quite large, several holes around 550 yards
