Awesome course
We get up here once a year and I always look forward to playing here. The course is awesome and always well maintained. The staff is very friendly. They make sure you have a good time. If you are ever up this way make sure you puts this course on your itinerary.
Brasstown
Great Course with great views. From hilly to valley holes.
One of the best in North Ga
Course conditions are excellent right now. Greens are in great shape and rolling fast and true. I feel this course is a little over priced compared to courses in similar condition but great track nonetheless.
A Real Beauty
Lovely setting and well configured golf course. In a valley surrounded by mountains.
Course was beautifully conditioned and you’ll need every club in your bag.
Greens ran very true but running only at 9-10 on Stimp.
18th hole is only weakness. It’s one of the longest holes but has the narrowest fairway.
A MUST PLAY
Annual Golf trip with 8 guys, decided to give Blue Ridge a look this year. I found Brasstown Valley online, great website and the course looked amazing. After playing it Sunday, we went back and played it again Monday!! We played 5 courses in 6 days, and this was everyone's favorite! The course was in phenomenal shape! The staff was awesome! Will definitely play it again the next time I'm in the area!

Beautiful and Scenic
One of the most scenic golf courses I've ever played. Sand traps and bunkers galore. Fairways were nicely manicured. Rough was difficult to hit out of. Greens were a bit slow to me and didn't roll smoothly. Overall tho, it was a great experience, and I would definitely play it again. Very friendly service.
Great Layout - Beautiful Views and Scenery
This was the second time I have played Brasstown Valley golf course. It is almost a two hour drive for me to get to Young Harris. Each time I have driven the two hours to play golf, I always have a great time and leave wishing the course was much closer to where I live so I could play there more often. Great course and lots of fun. The course is nestled in the mountains with beautiful views and nice cool weather (cooler than the Atlanta area). Beautiful, well stocked clubhouse.
The service and hospitality are top notch. It is great to be helped with your clubs when you arrive at the bad drop area and given assistance and instructions as to where to go, what to do, etc.
The course has lots of humps and mounds and elevation changes as well as large bunkers everywhere. From the tee box, it appears there are bunkers are everywhere, but the fairways are very generous with plenty of landing area. There is lots of sand and water near the greens. I love the fact there are no homes on the course and you get a very secluded and nature-filled golf experience. The bunkers were in fantastic condition (I had to hit of out plenty of them today).
The layout is great with no two holes alike. The layout is also challenging and fun. There is lots of sand and water. I love the fact there are no homes on the course and you get a very secluded and nature-filled golf experience.
Friendly, scenic small-resort golf
Tucked away in the mountains, Brasstown Valley is a boutique but relatively affordable resort owned by the State of Georgia. With a skeletal staff (in keeping with the philosophy of the managing company), they manage to deliver nice service and golf. The course is very much a child of the 90s, with mounding and large bunkering sometimes sucking attention away from the beautiful mountain scenery while at other times interacting with it. Highlights include the par fives on the back nine: the 11th and 15th, which pose different but equally interesting risk-reward questions. Now that Old Toccoa Farm is open about 40 minutes away, any partnership will benefit Brasstown Valley.
Another fun weekend at Brasstown!
6th annual weekend of golf at Brasstown. Our foursome heads there every Sept and this year's retreat was as enjoyable as any of them.
A bit disappointed in condition of greens, as they seemed to be a bit diseased/rotted and also they recently punched and top dressed, but otherwise all was well. We made the best of it by instituting a 2-putt limit. Fun layout and mix of holes, lots of bunkers and some water in play as well. Tees are cut a tad shaggy for my liking but not to any detriment.
The resort itself is perfect for those looking for nice but not super-swanky. Pool, hot tub, gym, tennis, horseback riding, spa (offsite but close), as well as a sports-bar/pub and a nicer sit-down restaurant all provide a solid place for the group to stay and play. We'll be back!
Brasstown Valley Golf Course
Spectacular views. Lush fairways and very good greens. Bunkers are immaculate.
Great Layout - Bad Ending
We had 2 groups, husbands & wives. Course was wet but very playable. Greens had not recovered very well from being aerated 4 weeks earlier. We have played the course before & had a good time today, until the very end. We left a cart on 18 cart path to unload bags next to the parking lot. As one cart guy brought one of us down to the parking lot, another one stomped over to the cart that we were planning on taking back up to the clubhouse. As he was driving off he muttered “bit..” at one of the wives, thinking that they had left the cart. This was unacceptable but the wives didn’t want us to cause a scene. Not sure if we’ll be back.
Great course
Wonderful friendly people. Course layout was great. Great view. Only thing is we went after a rainy day and the driving range was closed.
A thumbs up on the whole course!
Plenty of room all around most greens !
Wish they would let you WALK !!?? No big hills - just little distance going over to #3 and back to #16 under highway, NO big deal !
Welcome to the swamp
Course is in rough shape. There has been a lot of rain recently but we called ahead and they said the course was in good shape, just a little wet in spots. It was just a little wet in spots, then really wet everywhere else. They really should have closed the course it was way too wet. Pace of play was atrocious. We had to quit on the 12th hole after 4.5 hours. 4.5 hours to play 12 holes. We even called the marshal once but they didn’t do anything to help place of play.
Greens are also in terrible shape and they are having huge issues with fungus or some disease. The price was fair given the poor condition of the greens. But it makes me very sad that such a great course is going downhill so quickly.
Had a great time
We played in early February so we knew that grass would not be growing. We found the course to be in very good condition for this time of year. Fairways were excellent and traps were all raked and had plenty of sand. The layout is great with no repetiveness, lots of sand and water, rolling land, large challenging, greens, and privacy with no homes in the course. We literally didn’t see another golfer and were able to play in 3 hours (2 golfers). Staff was very friendly and clubhouse and golf shop and excellent. We will be back. Thank you!
Great winter golf
Course was in very good condition for the winter season. Greens were relatively smooth, traps in good condition and fairways had adequate dormant Bermuda grass to keep your ball off the ground. After two inches of rain two days previous, the course was still very playable.
