Cobblestone Park Golf Club - Black Course
About
Formerly known as the University Club, Cobblestone Park Golf Course may have changed names but it still offers one of the best courses in the Midlands. There are a total of 27 holes, which are divided into three distinct nines. The holes stretch across more than 240 acres of rolling hills. The Black nine is the longest of the three and naturally the most challenging as well. A variety of elevation changes come into play, ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course even features some of the highest points in Richland County, providing scenic views throughout your round. There are strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout and mature oaks and pines lining the fairways but the challenges are balanced by wide landing areas that are nice and inviting.

This course does not have a club house. There is an shack where you can get food from. They use porta- johns.
Love playing this course. it is in great shape right now. 65.00 way to expensive often. Paid an great price through golf now. More people would play if prices were lower.
A "Must Play"
Beautifully manicured course providing quite a challenge especiallly the first time played. Lots of elevation changes. Greens roll true and were pretty fast. Very senic on most holes. Looking forward to playing again soon.
Good deal for the GolfNow price of $23 per player. But course needs some attention.
Greens in great shape, but fairways are a bit thin for April 3rd. Tee boxes were in need of attention as well. Good value overall for the money ($23 per player). I would recommend this course.
Must play!
Although this is a MUST PLAY course, there is too much elevation change on alot of the holes. Lots of bad breaks, wrong club selection, etc. Not easy to score, even if playing well.
3 Nine hole venue
Cart path only due to very soggy condition. Course has a lot of undulation and very hilly that made for a 5hr round. Will definitely return and play on a better day.
Great layout, but won't shed water
This is a beautiful course with challenging greens and lots of elevation changes. I think it would have been a lot more fun if the course wasn't sloppy with water and had what looked like aeration mud in every fairway.
great golf outing
this is one of the best golf experiences i have had in a long time. i recomend this course to any true golfer. i plan to become a member from the great treatment we recieved.
Wide open fairways. Course has rolling hills around both fairways and greens.
Offers great playability for all skill level players. Beautiful course layout and the greens offer challenging putts.
This course is beautiful and well maintained.
Beautiful fairways and greens. Hilly fairways and well placed hazards.Very smooth cart paths.
Beautiful course
We played the garnet and black courses. Beautiful. Well maintained. Friendly staff
mixed bag
First things first the course was in fantastic shape as always. Cobblestone is one of the best maintained courses in the area and considering how much rain we've had in the 3 weeks prior to this day its amazing how good the fairways were. I was only in casual water on a handful of shots. One hole in particular(Garnet number 6) was the only one that was overly soppy. The greens were among the best I've ever putted on, very very little bouncing.
The pro-shop guy Lance is really cool as always but they were out of range balls on the nicest day we've had in weeks. No excuse for that.
So I got there early to get some food and relax on their new porch out behind the clubhouse but to my surprise the kitchen was closed until 11:00. However the guy that was at the bar(also closed) was extremely nice and helpful and went back to make me a hot sandwich regardless! This made me very happy but I can't understand why they would be closed to start with? There were tons of golfers there and no doubt a lot of them would have eaten there. Instead there was literally nobody in the entire clubhouse but me. Just makes no sense to me at all. So we play our round and then when we're done(4:50) we decide to eat at the clubhouse. NO DICE they were closed then too!
Great course, great facilities but management is AWFUL. Just don't for the life of me understand how it's ok to not use the facilities better. Oh well, it's not my money they are throwing away.
