Heritage Palms Golf Club
About
The mountains are close enough to touch at this Arthur Hills design. Heritage Palms measures 6,698 yards from the back tees.
Four lakes are featured on the course, which is very green for a desert design. Hills contrast the fairways against the mountains and the desert in the distance, but this is very much a resort type course.
The par 3s are particularly inventive. This isn't one of Hills' tougher courses. It offers average hackers the chance to have a largely anxiety-free round. As long as they don't get too carried away with club selection.
There are a number of dogleg holes that force you to think before firing away. Just hitting as far as you can is an easy path to trouble. It's the shot after the shot you're hitting that must be thought of.

Greens were superb
Best golf course I have played in the Desert this season
Golf course was in great shape but the greens were immaculate
Very nice course
We have stayed in palm spring area for the past 14 years and not knowing how nice this course
Well maintain and green all over the place
Green very fast
Pristine
I very seldom write reviews but feel inclined. Heritage Palms is the most perfectly manicured golf course I have ever played on. The conditions were pristine. There was not one brown spot or blade of grass out of place on the entire course. When they overseed for the winter they do everything including the rough. So no dormant brown Bermuda anywhere this time of year. The green rolled true and were not super fast or too slow. The fairways were like the plushest carpet in the fancy living room you were never allowed in. The rough was lush and bountiful but not overly penalizing. I cannot stress enough just how well taken care of this course is. It is a semi private course which only posts tee times to the public after their members have chosen. So I am not sure how easy it is to get a tee time normally. I got an online tee time for $85 which is a steal. They could have easily charged twice that amount. I have played most of the higher end public courses in the Coachella Valley and this place's course conditions beat them all.
The course is not difficult with large landing areas off the tee's and receptive greens. The bunkers were perfect with plenty of light fluffy sand. The greens rolled beautifully about 10-11 on stimp. Tee boxes were gorgeous. Pace of play is strongly enforced at 4:15. We had an 8:00 am shotgun start and finished a couple of minutes before noon. Didn't wait on a single shot and never had anyone catch up to us.
I highly recommend this course if it is available over any other course in the valley if you have never played it. It is in absolutely phenomenal condition. It's not super difficult so enjoy the true beauty of the course and go low. You will not be disappointed.
A great time was had by all
There was a shotgun start which was ok. I played with strangers but we enjoyed each others company and all played about the same. The course was in very good shape but the sandtraps could use more sand,They were somewhat shallow. This is one of my favorite courses and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Great Golf Course
The golf Course was in great shape, the greens were Rolling a bit fast but in great condition. Had a great round.
Heritage Palms well worth playing
Excellent condition and an interesting layout. Staff friendliness second to none.
Great condition
One of the best semi private courses in the area.
Always perfectly maintained and attended to.
Marshaled for pace of play most of the time.
More challenging than it appears....but fair for good shots. Greens are excellent.....bring your putting skills with you. Nice layout, no two holes are the same.
Good value overall. 4 T Boxes and Combo play on card....good variety choices for your game.
Perfection plain and simple
Ily
Put pristine conditions together with a great course layout that can test but not overwhelm any handicap golfer combine that with a freindly caring staff - great membership and you have Heritage palms— I am 30 year desert resident and ha e been lucky enough to have played many of the fine courses in our Coachella Valley - I don’t why but I never had the opportunity to play Heritage palms until this past summer when the rate was very reasonable . The first time I played it I was hooked - I played it 4 straight weeks in a row - I played it for the first time in the “season” and even at the 85 dollar rate I consider it one of the best bargain in the desert - I have always been paired with great members who welcome you with open arms - play it and call in love with immaculate conditions-the Best greens in the valley and conditions that would rival Augusta -play it for sure!
Excellent experience
The fairways are like carpets, the greens fast and true. Bunkers perfect.
Thanks to the Management and Staff @ HP
My wife and I are not members at Heritage Palms but about 6 times a year we try to get a tee time and play as guests. Each time we continue to be impressed with every aspect of the GC and the Club. Yesterday was no exception and the guest we brought with us felt the same way. Thank-you for making golf at your facilities such a wonderful experience!
Well done!
Desert Paradise
The course was in great shape and competes well with some of the PGA West courses.
Great Shape
Just opened after over seeding (6 days), very lush. outstanding design and layout.
Great layout & practice facilities
Played within 1 week of opening after reseeding. The only complaint was needing to stay on the cart path, which was clear at booking and fully expected. Greens, fairways were in great shape. The sand (and there is ample) is also great. Driving range, putting and chipping areas are well maintained and the staff was very friendly. I will play this course again, hopefully not in a shotgun so I can get a better feel..
Great and fun course to play
This course has plenty of challenge but still won't punish you for the slightly bad shot. I like the layout and it's always in great condition. If you get the chance play here you won't be disappointed
Great course
This was in the top 3 courses I’ve ever played. Biggest bang for the buck and it was immaculate. 4 tee locations. Grounds crew must have been having a bad day, inconsiderate. If they are the ones responsible for this well kept golf course, then I forgive them. I will play here everyone I’m in the area. Bravo.
Unbelievable Course Conditions for September
If you've played desert golf in the summer or early Autumn, you know that it's quite likely that you'll have to deal with 'iffy' course conditions. Burnt out greens, bare fairways.
Not the case with Heritage Palms. The greens were true, the fairways lush and level. Really impressed that staff greeted our golfers in the parking lot as we were unloading our bags.
Simply put, a quality experience all around with a great Sunday buffet afterwards.
We had a group of 28. We'll be back. Often.
