The Biltmore Golf Course

Course was punched about 3 weeks ago and the holes are still present and affected play despite what they tell you in the pro shop. Greens still have good speed. If you play from the tips, be ready for a par 3 gauntlet that features holes of 225, 235 and 260! That’s a bit excessive. The rest of the course is in pretty good shape, fairways were good, tee boxes good, the rough not too long, sand was soft and I was in all those areas. Carts were extremely difficult to navigate and frustrating, they shut off in many areas that they shouldn’t and with no warning. Once it cut us off in the fairway 102 yards away from the hole which was just ridiculous. Often it cut off 60 yards away, which is still ridiculous since most courses the cut off is 40 yards and in. Often the ride felt like a car with bad injectors, sputtering around the course because every 2 seconds they limited your cart speed. GPS was accurate, but our touch screen was useless as the sensor was wayyy off if you tried to touch a specific spot. Staff was friendly and very respectful. No towels in the locker Room so if you needed to use those facilities, which I did because of a dinner engagement after the round, bring your own towel. I figured being a Resort course they would have those simple amenities, but I got one at the pool. All in all it was a good experience but not a course I’m rushing back to play again and again.

I’ve played many times as I’m a resident of the city. Maintenance of the course is above average for a public course.

I’ve seen work done to the course over a long period of time and it’s at its best now.

Recommend to anyone due to the course being challenging and the beauty of Coral Gables.

Played as a two-some on a Sunday afternoon while visiting on vacation. Knew that we would occasionally have to wait at the tee box for groups ahead because we were only a two-some playing behind a group of 4. However, it got very tough on the back 9 as many groups started to slow down, no one monitoring the pace of play and we ended up waiting at the 12th tee box for about 40 minutes for groups to clear!

This was extremely frustrating because they didn’t even have a Marshal on the course to keep up pace of play. We were expecting to finish in 4 hours and 20 minutes (normal 18-hole pace), but had we not complained and gotten the Marshal to come out to the course, it would’ve taken nearly 6 hours to finish the round!

To not already have a Marshal on the course during a Sunday afternoon shows that this course does NOT care about their guests’ time and the amount of money people are willing to spend to play here. Overall this experience was not at all worth the outrageous

2x times the regular greens fee we were charged as a non-Florida resident and would highly advise that you play somewhere else!

This course was better than expected. The staff was top notch. The conditions were excellent. I'd play here again any day. It was challenging but not overwhelming. .

Great course! Forgiving layout, great service, friendly staff...ended with great good. Definitely should be on everyone's hit list!
