The Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables sits next to the beautiful hotel, an architectural masterpiece that was modeled after the Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain. Donald Ross designed the course in 1925 and the traditional layout has retained all of its original character. The golf course weaves through a series of canals that used to carry guests along in gondolas. The canals run alongside the lush fairways while towering banyan trees frame the elevated greens. Offering views of the historic hotel from nearly every hole, there are carts available but the golf course is worth the walk. The layout is popular not only for its historic scenery and verdant setting, but also for its playability. Over the years the Biltmore has been host to a number of professional golfers and celebrities ranging from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods.

Always a pleasure

Always a pleasure to play Biltmore; especially if you like the old classic courses. There's not a railroad tie in sight, good shots are rewarded, bad ones not, and when the wind picks up, as it does most days, the course shows its teeth.

Crews are still picking up from Irma, so there's a little more work going on and unfinished landscaping then one might prefer, but it doesn't interfere with play.

Thank goodness for GolfNow; even for this beauty I'm not paying rack rate in the high season.....

Highly recommended

I really enjoyed everything about Biltmore. The course is challenging but not overly difficult, the staff were super friendly and the facilities were excellent. The only downside for me was getting there and home. Traffic nightmare both ways

Great course with beautiful backdrops

Can't beat the multiple views of the towering hotel at every turn.

Challenging and fun.
Fairways were a bit dry and hard and there was some construction going on, but didn't get in the way of play.

Mixed bag!

Absolutely beautiful hotel and facilities. When we arrived the only people at the bag drop we maintenance workers taking a break. Not a great look. We had to switch carts twice because of electrical issues. The course was in good condition. Pace of play was incredibly slow on the back 9. Unfortunately the twosome in front of us fell 2-3 holes behind a foresome and the ranger did nothing. Lunch was very good at the 19th hole.

Not worth $50

The course conditions were horrendous. They charge $295 and it shouldn’t cost over $50. Seemed like pins weren’t moved in a few weeks (see pic). We got there from the airport and had 25 minutes to grab food. Waiter said there was no way they could get us food that fast. One of the guys asked can we get a hot dog and the waiter looked at hi, like he was a peasant. They had no quick food except candy bards and chips in the pro shop. It rained terrible that day but that had no impact on an already neglected course. I feel sorry for the University of Miami having to use this as their home course. Kids deserve better.

Fee Driven Golf

resort course with fantastic conditions and Fun/ong layout. It isn't cheap during snowbird season but it also doesn't disappoint and the pace of play was great.

Golf Now Sucks

The email confirmation I received from Golf now had two different teetimes. So I showed up at the earlier time i and the course made me wait so I was there more than an hour early. Golf now owes an apology.

The same email problem occurred with others in my tee time.

The course is very nice and the greens are very difficult. The complex is worn down. I didn’t try the restaurant it might be OK.

The practice greens were super slow. The slowest I’ve ever seen. Then the course was fast. Threw me off my game.

Pro shop personnel was nice. The guy getting you started in the cart area was obtuse. Non-communicative. maybe it was because the music is blaring in that area.

I had a good time though, because the course was challenging and the other three I was paired up with were nice.

In summary, this is why I hate using GolfNow. If you ever have a problem, all you have is a computer to talk to which is a useless experience.

Biltmore

Nice course with fair amount of bunkers but not too much water. Liked the course layout, the royal look of the hotel, and the difficulty of the course. Nice greens and fairways. The staff was very helpful.
