Bella Collina Golf Club
About
Nestled in the hills of Montverde, Bella Collina Golf Club overlooks not only the vineyards of Central Florida but also the sparkling blue waters of Lake Apopka and Lake Siena. The layout sprawls across more than 1,900 acres of rolling hills, incorporating lush forested valleys and sweeping dunes. Nick Faldo designed this lengthy championship course, which from its back tees stretches to over 7,500 yards. Faldo utilized the natural contours of the land to create a golf course that requires more than just skill or distance. Creative shot-making and careful strategy will be generously rewarded. The diverse terrain provides plenty of challenges as well as a unique and visually stunning backdrop. Bella Collina is known amongst locals as one of the most scenic golf courses in the area. The stunning views and beautiful setting are worth the round alone.

worth the drive
tough course, so many traps it's hard to find a landing area. quick undlating greens, beautiful club house, really beautiful. would play again
Awesome
Bella Collina is a beautiful and challenging course. Has a few blind shots so it gets better the more you play it. Highly recommend.
What a place!
From the gatehouse to the cobblestone driveway to the clubhouse and other facilities, this place was top notch!
Despite it being private (and the club knowing that I booked through GolfNow), they made me feel over the top welcome. Probably treated me the same as they do actual members. Had lunch before my tee time and the food was great and reasonable!
Course was in terrific shape and is a total standout relative to the others in Florida. Highly recommend.
I hope they still accept walkons the next time I go to Orlando!
Play it before it goes private!
A very upscale course that was intended to be a private club and will ultimately get there. Terrific layout! Lot's of blind shots - Nick Faldo design is challenging, visually intimidating at times but is a very good test of golf skills. Elevated greens that are in great shape require good ability to read breaks and pace. Clubhouse is stately on the unusual amount of rolling hills for Florida. Strongly recommend that you play this course while you can.
Not in good shape.
Clubhouse and entrance leading to clubhouse is outstanding. That is where it ends, the course is in terrible shape. The greens are ok but the rough surrounds of greens need sprayed for weeds as well as surrounds of tee boxes. The bunkers are in just so so shape and there is several wash out areas that need repaired. Im sure it would be somewhat better if dormant grasses had growed in but with all the competition of courses in area this course needs to be a lot better. I wont play again and don't recommend to you to play.
Greta track for Florida
Bella is such an unusual golf course for Florida; severe elevation changes, never a flat lie. A visually stunning course with memorable holes. toughest set of Par 3's in Orlando. Great course, but bring your A game!
Lots and lots of bunkers
Very undulating greens. Fairways are seldonly flat
An Italian Countryside in Florida
Bella Collina is a fun course which I can't wait to play again! However, the entire experience is what will really bring me back again. When we arrived, the valets met us as we parked and promptly loaded our gear into our carts. After a very quick check-in, we were off to the range for a warm-up just minutes after arriving. We had arrived almost an hour before our tee time. Due to a few late arrivals, the starter allowed us to get started 40 minutes before our tee time. The weather was cold and rainy, but we could have cared less as the grounds were so well cared for that the course played really well. Lots of sand traps to avoid, and really quick greens to navigate, although we enjoyed the challenge. The course marshal kept up pace of play, so we never had any issue before or after us. After a long, cold day, we were happy to warm up with a tasty burger and beer at the 19th hole while watching PGA TOUR and NCAA Basketball. The facility is beautiful and definitely reminded us of the Italian countryside. I look forward to returning to Bella Collina!
Beautiful course
Highly recommended from our friends who have just played this course. Clubhouse is fantastic, staffs were very friendly especially marshall. The design of the course are excellent, greens and fairways were nice in January. This is one of the best courses we have played, our group of 10 were enjoyed to play and we will definitely be back again next time on our golf trip in Orlando.
Worth the drive
Thus course is a little out of the way but if you make the drive its worth it. Fairly wide open off the tee but if you spray it too far there is some trouble to find. Greens are big but with plenty of slope to contend with. Lots of elevation changes which you don't see a ton in Orlando. Nice practice facilities and the food after was very good. My only problems with it were too many blind shots and the 9th and 18th holes were a bit stupid where you hit away from the fairways to be in the right spot. Otherwise enjoyed the course because it was different from other Orlando courses.
Nick Faldo's hidden gem
This is a wonderfully laid out golf course with big elevation changes, unique green complexes and can play 5-15 shots easier or harder depending on the tees you decide to play.
Nick, for some crazy reason, decided to put tees that measure over 7600 yards. My ego got the better of me as I began my round on these tees. After eating my hat for the first few holes I moved up a set of tees and thoroughly enjoyed myself much more. Play this course about 500-1000 yards less than you normally would and that course will keep you plenty busy & challenged. We were paired up with a member who knew the local knowledge of playing the correct tees and talked me into my move after hole 3.
This golf course gives you views and shots that you rarely see in central Florida. The course is worth the drive. The only issue I had on Nick's design were on 9 and 18. There is no where to drive your ball - you hit and hope. Other than that, this course is worth the drive, worth the greens fees and worth the experience.
Challenging But Fun
This course is in great shape from tee to green. Only a couple of spots off the fairways that seemed to be unfinished/eroding. Lots of elevation changes along with open layout allowing plenty of wind to channel through. Plenty of tempting tee shots to cut corners or go for one of the shorter par 4's. Will definitely be back soon!
Elevations in Florida
I didn't believe there could be elevations in Florida...until Bella Collina, and not a house in sight, and a club house supreme!
Great course
The place is absolutely beautiful. I've been to Tuscany three times and Tuscany wishes it were as pretty as Bella Collina.
Played the golf course from the Faldo tees. He must have some sand in his blood because the bunkers are penal. The course was very enjoyable and really long. Reached for fairway woods on 6 par 4's. Cold weather and no roll makes for long holes.
Greens were not upto the rest of the course. Nice enough but not great.
Great golf
Amazing club house. Great course. A lot of elevation change for a FL course.
one of my top 5 in Orlando
It was a little cool and off & on rain so we pretty much had the course to ourselves. Even without a crowd on a poor weather day they had a beverage cart on the course which was a big plus for us. The course is in great shape & the greens which are a challenge to read roll very true and about a 9 pace. I like everything about this place!
Bella Colina
A unique experience for Central Florida golf with unexpected elevation changes from tee to green. Wide open fairways and undulating greens, sometimes times too undulating. Not a bad experience although the course will never be considered great because there are far too many blind tee shots and approach shots.
And now for something completely different, and amazing
Bella Collina is unique in the Orlando area. The hilly terrain defines the course and the fact that it's in the hills far above Orlando gives it extra challenge with the wind.
This course is all about the experience. One through the gate, the cobblestone-like roadway tells you this experience will be different. The clubhouse, with it's underground parking gives you the sense you've been transported far away to Tuscany. From beginning to end, the service is perfect - not in your face, but they take care of you from the guy that will meet you at your car, to the starter, to the 19th hole.
The practice facility is great - go and practice your low punch shots and make some putts.
The course is tough, but doesn't feel tricked up because the challenge is the terrain. The only level lie you'll find is on the tee box. After that - it's up, down, and side to side. Think about each tee shot to keep your ball from rolling into trouble. Put the ball on the right level of the green so it doesn't roll off. It has two driveable par 4s, and others that feel like par 5s - a solid mix.
Enjoy all the views - they're spectacular and terrifying. It was less than 50 degrees and windy when I was there, I'd love to try it when I wasn't shivering and when my game was on.
Apparently this course may go private soon - play it while you still can.
where to start
great service from the time i pulled up to the time i pulled away....course was in pristine conditions....could tell a few greens were photo shopped as the flooded crust on the green were dyed with green coloring...looks nice, rolled okay just a bit quicker in those areas....clubhouse is beyond words....almost like a small town...detailed in many ways....makes you feel as tho you were'nt even at the links anymore......worth a trip there just to eat or golf or both...5 star
visually stunning course & clubhouse
Beautiful clubhouse, multiple stories built to resemble a Winery. Some construction going on. A nice practice area is close to the cluhouse with a driving range and putting green. Tee boxes & fairways were in good overseeded winter shape. The fairway bunkering and greenside bunkering placements make this a challenging layout. The green contouring and elevation changes are the real gems of this course. The greens were in ok shape, rolling true. Don't miss the greens on the wrong side. I used one of my Golfnow free plays, so cost was not an issue. In my book, I wouldn't pay over $60 weekday/$85 weekend to play here. Not sure of rack rates, if you are paying more than that your are paying for the clubhouse & accomidations, not the course.
