Bella Collina Golf Club
About
Nestled in the hills of Montverde, Bella Collina Golf Club overlooks not only the vineyards of Central Florida but also the sparkling blue waters of Lake Apopka and Lake Siena. The layout sprawls across more than 1,900 acres of rolling hills, incorporating lush forested valleys and sweeping dunes. Nick Faldo designed this lengthy championship course, which from its back tees stretches to over 7,500 yards. Faldo utilized the natural contours of the land to create a golf course that requires more than just skill or distance. Creative shot-making and careful strategy will be generously rewarded. The diverse terrain provides plenty of challenges as well as a unique and visually stunning backdrop. Bella Collina is known amongst locals as one of the most scenic golf courses in the area. The stunning views and beautiful setting are worth the round alone.

Fantastic Course
This is a must play for Central Florida. The course really takes advantage of the terrain as each hole has it's own distinct character. It was well maintained and a great golfing experience.
Great layout tough
I played the course and I like it,But you need to play this course more than once so you can learn where to hit the ball it's that tough And i will play it again
course surroundings starting to show some age
surrounding areas a little rough common grounds look rough
Great course
This was a great course and the course features were terrific. I would recommend this course to anyone.
What a treat!
Be prepared, this is not your average course. Like all Pete Dye courses, it is challenging, without a flat spot to be found. You will need a sound strategy. Like all Pete Dye courses, you can get very lucky. It is a wonderful day when you are striking the ball well and you get some favorable roles. A must play.
Challenging course
The greens and fairways in perfect shape. I played it from the championship tees which was just under 7000 yards. A few par4 holes measured around 460 in hilly terrain. There are another 2 tees further back. Bring your A-game if you want a good score. Staff was really friendly.
Layout exceptional, Clubhouse is beautiful, Greens were plugged several weeks earlier but rolled true.
Overall, this was an exceptional experience for the Florida golfer that likes a taste of northern rolling hill courses. The greens had been plugged several weeks before but overall, the greens rolled true with a couple of bumps here and there. The staff was very friendly and Club itself oozes of Tuscan charm and makes you feel like your on vacation. Too bad the storms hit on 15 but they provided a rain check which I will most certainly use very soon... :)
Very nice course.
The pace was a little slow but the course is really nice. Lots of sand in some really deep bunkers.
Greens are in great shape
Course is in good shape, greens are great. There are a few greens that have some bug damage. I played the course 2 years ago and it was pristine, you can see there is allot of ware and tare but still worth the money if you get the GolfNow rates.
Beautiful course and facilities. Needs more golfers so give it a try.

This is a Challenging course - Mr. Faldo loves bunkers!
I generally avoid playing golf within gated communities. I don't like the idea of drivers' license checks and being questioned by rent-a-security-cops. This visit Bella Collina reinforced my admittedly negative attitude. With that off my chest, I admit that access to the golf course is worth the scrutiny. I found a "hot deal," and could not pass up a chance to play the course I have played only a few times in the past.
The golf course did not disappoint! Although half the fairways had recently been punched they were in otherwise very good condition, and the greens were beautiful. I enjoy putting on firm, quick greens, and these fit the bill perfectly. The rough is largely unmaintained and you don't have to stray far to be in unmanaged weeds
The course has a superb variety of holes routed through hilly terrain. The "member" tees at 6504 yards gave this retiree all the golf I wanted. I don't play many 460 yard par-4 holes anymore, and I was quite satisfied with my bogey, thank you very much! You need to keep your focus to play this course well. There isn't much water, but Faldo created bunkers everywhere.
By the way, the clubhouse at Bella Collina is amazing. If you go play there, take a few minutes to walk through and check it out. I don't know how long this course will allow public access. I expect they will go private as soon as they can. If you don't plan to join this club, I recommend you play it if you get a chance, while it is still available.
A course for the bucket list
This course is a definitely a must play. I read the reviews and they were spot on. The course was in overall pristine shape.I did see some maintenance workers out there but they were never a distraction. There were definitely some blinds shots but a quick look before teeing off will help with shot placement especially as some fairways are sloped. Some holes were long but keeping it in play good course management will make for great scores. I can't say enough how friendly the staff as soon I pulled into the parking lot till I left at the end of my round. The course was VERY slow so it took me know time for my round and definitely worth the money.
Good changes coming
Bella Collina is in my top five for Florida courses... I am pleased to say a new owners group has begun refurbishing the course, building new facilities and bringing this course up to pristine conditions. Six sets of tees gives you plenty of options all the way out to 7600 yards, a hint because of elevation changes it plays longer. Tiered and undulating greens will challenge your course management and test your short game. large, deep sand areas put a premium on accuracy and length. Fine dining after your round to help you unwind... excellent on course attention from the beverage cart, with bathroom and ice stations on course.
Beautiful layout
Had a great time, lots of maintenance guys on the course but great layout!
Visually stunning layout
Course had just been verticut fairways and greens. Still a visually excellent course. Cart girls nowhere to be found. Clubhouse is spectacular. It is a must play when in the Central Florida area.
This is a great course
This is a great course in a stunning location. The course is very challenging but fair at the same time. There are lots of strategically placed bunkers and it requires good course management to achieve a good score. The greens are excellently maintained and putt well whilst also being pretty quick.
Lived up to their reviews...and then some
Often times when you hear how excellent a course is your expectations are so high that you are let down by your actual experience. This WAS NOT the case during our recent visit to Bella Collina. Everyone from the front gate keeper, the pro shop, the golf staff, and the 19th hole provided exceptional service. The couse was in excellent condition although there were a few areas (not in play) that were being worked on due to heavy rains that caused some errosion. The addition of GPS to the carts was a nice surprise and a great help however we felt a need to drive up the fairway on a few holes to get a sneak peak at what we were up against off the tee box. The club house facilities are second to none. I can't wait to return with my Wednesday foursome.
A Golfing Experience
This course is wonderful it's challenging it's beautiful it's maintained well worth the money. It was a little bit of a drive but well worth the time spent I will definitely be back to this course again soon.
Interesting design features for Florida course
Could be a premium course but it needs much better maintenance. Fairways are good. Greens, tee boxes and rough are in marginal condition. Slow play and no rangers on the course.
This is a great Central Florida secret! A fun challanging Course.
This is a visually stunning course. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape even though the day we played the greens had been aerated about a week earlier, they rolled true. Once you leave the tee box, there is no flat surface on the course and consequently challenges your ball flight. This course has a tee box for any level of player from 5800 to over 7000 yards. We just loved the course and will make it a regular stop.
Nice write up, but Bella Collina is not a Pete Dye course.
