Annual Must Play
A fan of many courses in the northern grand strand but had not been back here in years. A wonderful track. Great amenities and in perfect condition. This will be in my annual vacation rota. Worth the price of admission.
Beautiful facility-Great Experience
Beautiful facility with extremely helpful employees. Bag Drop was phenomenal with attendants greeting us as we arrived-bags were on the cart before we unbuckled seat belts. Pro shop staff was extremely quick in getting us out of the shop and on to the course. They started us off on the Stewart Course because we were a twosome and that was the faster play option with nobody for at least six holes in front. The service was undeniably excellent in every regard

Overall nice track
Overall it let a nice layout and its a target oriented golf course. The Ultradwarf Bermudagrass greens were slow and didn’t putt true. I think they are not mowing them to protect them from the heat.

COVID over?
Question policy of not putting clubs on a cart until 5 minutes from tee time. Was made to ride with a stranger, yet no water jugs on course due to COVID protocol? Water was cutoff at course restroom due to maintenance waiting on a part. Mowers did not display proper etiquette. When done, no staff helped with our clubs and had to walk mine about 200 yards to my car. Course layout was great and in good shape. With a little training of the staff and starters to be more friendly and accommodating, this course would be much more enjoyable. Food and service in the clubhouse was good. With no water provided on the course, we saw a beverage cart twice the first nine and not at all on the second nine. Time to service the water stations again.

First time review
From the minute you drive up to the Scottish castle inspire club house to the warm greeting at bag drop - this is one of the best golf experiences I’ve ever had. The staff even greeted us by name without ever meeting us. Course was impeccable and you would never know you were in the north murre beach area. Towering pines and live oaks insulate the course with just a few houses that are along the course. Mounded fairways and bunkers/water hazards galore - this course was so much fun to play. Will definitely add it next time we are in town.

My Favorite in the Myrtle Beach Area
Thistle has become my favorite course when visiting the Grand Strand. I’ve never been disappointed in the course, service, or amenities despite playing there numerous times. The course was is in outstanding condition; the greens are the best I’ve experienced so far this summer.

Great course.
Greens were the truest I have found in Carolina this year.
Played Tues (Stewart to McKay) and had to come back on Thursday (Cameron to Stewart). Being able to catch all 27 was perfect.
Get a yard book or use your phone for the hole overviews cause they’ll help on your first round.
Great staff, beautiful club house, great people on the course made this a trip to remember.

Great experience
This is a very well-maintained course that is fun to play. The staff is efficient and friendly. The pace of play based on the start times makes for a very enjoyable and relaxing round. Highly recommend playing this course.

Great course with hot deal pricing
Course was in good shape and greens were speedy. Lots of bunker and water hazards so play smart. Fun course and the cart lady was friendly and helpful. Even found my phone for me after I lost it on the course.

Nice course. I got rained out on the tenth hole. Everything was good except the bunkers. Bunkers need work.
