About
The Navy Golf Course Seal Beach is a 27-hole facility that includes the championship Destroyer Course and the nine-hole executive Cruiser Course. The 6,780-yard Destroyer Course presents a challenge even for low handicappers with a slew of hazards coming into play throughout. The small greens have challenging slopes ranging from subtle breaks to dramatic drop-offs. To make them even tougher, you'll find strategically placed bunkers lurking along the edges. The tricky doglegs, which are mostly par 4s, will force you to think carefully about your club selection, and to top it all off, water makes an appearance on almost every hole. It's a long golf course that feels even longer due to the rolling terrain, but it is more forgiving than it seems with long, wide fairways that won't penalize you for being slightly errant.

Great value and layout, terrible pace
First time playing this course, love the conditions and layout however the pace was incredibly slow. Teed off 10 minutes late and was a 5 hour round.

Great layout!
Always love playing the Navy course. Greens can be challenging with lots of slope but love the layout and course conditions are good. The only issue is that you have to keep looking for a good tee time.

Always Fun
Tough to beat this place on a value basis. THe course is always in good condition, and it is a challenge for me (bogey golfer) from the white tees. THe greens are pretty quick with plenty of break. Generous fairways on most holes. Water and sand are well placed. I always enjoy playing here.

Destroyer Course
Very nice and very well maintained. One of the nicer courses I have played. It was challenging on the the greens with tough pin placements but that’s not a bad thing. Will definitely play again.

Conditions perfect
Course layout is great, requiring thinking off the tee. Some tee shots require less than driver. Greens were top-notch and fairways solid.
Pace of play was 4:25, so not great, but expected in LA.

Course was in a very good condition, pace of play was good. Cart staff for servicing the course would be preferable. Very clean course and set up to be challenging and fun.

Not worth the price
It was such a bad deal because the course the teeboxes were under repair so it was moved about 50 yards from the original spots. I paid more through this site since they had a special rate due to course maintenance. This site charged more than the course did. What a letdown.
